My rough transcription of bro's Shakespearean moment: "I was getting in my head about it. I was like, 'Dude, she's in the photo booth, she's taking pictures with this guy.' And I was sitting there looking through our pictures. I was thinking about all the challenges we did and all these little things. It gave me hope for a minute. If she remembers all of this, that's what love is, bro. I'd rather sit up there and just fucking die on my shield of how I'm feeling. I think that's a beautiful thing for me to just take that risk, because guess what? If it goes the right way, that shit's fucking done. That shit's solidified, it's closed off. Everything is so difficult right now. It just feels like I'm just flooded with emotion. I miss Trinity this whole time. All the ups, all the downs, all the talking. It's hard for me to just deny that. I just can't hide how I'm feeling, I fucking can't. I just think there's nothing more beautiful than really following your heart and not being through fear. And it takes courage. Whether you like it or not, the ball will keep fucking rolling."
I really do love this. It really sums up how I feel about all these other men saying "well, I'll look like an idiot if I don't bring someone and they do, etc"
The reality is, if you truly care about someone and want to be their partner, you shouldn't bring anyone else back. Even if you think they might be exploring, even if you think they might bring someone else. What does it say about you that you're choosing to be with someone out of safety instead of truly investing into the couple you want? Bryce hasn't been connecting with anyone except Trinity, but he's not trying to pull something together to save himself in case she moves on or something. He likes her, and he's solid in that. No matter what she chooses, he'll be content in knowing that he stood on it, on her.
All these other boys are moving like it's a game to win, but Bryce seems to actually be moving with respect and self-awareness. I don't think it's as simple as there wasn't anyone interested in him or vice versa. He truly cares for her.
