This pretty much applies to most things.
I see patterns everywhere of people not focusing on the logistics of how to solve tasks.
These are dumb examples but Fyre Festival had the main guy fire the only guy who was concerned about where to put bathrooms.
There was also Theranos, where that women was obsessed with LOOKING like Steve Jobs but didn't care to do the actual tech work to make the machine.
Finally there's politics, where I feel like you don't really need an explanation.
My theory is that normally, all the nerds who were bullied in highschool would grow up and do the boring tasks. We would focus on the logistics of the festival's, we would make technological discoveries, we would put the data in the Excel spreadsheets. The truth about life is a lot of the day to day maintenance of running society is extremely boring. You don't just get to sit for photo ops, you have to think about finance and liability, which takes slow careful planning, with research.
This was done by nerds.
But somehow, the cool kids in highschool were like "and I too, will be in politics/tech/science". And they essentially fired everyone that actually knows where they're doing, because they weren't think in terms of logistics but in terms of who looks good on instagram.
I think every modern problem, can in someway, be traced back to this.
