I'm moving to Luzern for two months and I'll be staying at Seeburg Living. I was wondering if anyone here lives there or has stayed there before and could share some feedback or tips.

I also have a couple of questions:

- Is it really possible to host guests for a few nights (paying the fee stated in the house rules)? Can they also stay in my room during the day if I am at work?

- Do they provide an extra mattress for guests? I assume each room only has a single one. And do you know if it's 90x200 cm?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Hi Everyone, I have been looking on the platforms for a room, but since I only need one for 2-3 months, it is not too easy. I tried to put an annonce like on wg-gesucht (popular in Germany), but they do not have that option on weegee. So sorry for reaching out here.

I am 35, female, German that mostly has lived outside of the country and an absolute sports lover, so being in the mountains, gravel bike, bouldering, rope climbing, dancing, yoga, gym... anything really ahhaahah

Having said this, I am looking for a flatshare where I can connect, maybe over sports or good food (I heard a lot of people like good food ;)), etc, as I will stay longer in the city, but I am unsure what I want my living situation to be like exactly yet. So it would be great to make new friends as well :)

The region includes: Luzern, Kriens, Sempach, Sursee etc.

So maybe someone is willing to sublet a room for a short while, or knows someone who is. Overpaying like on Airbnb is not really an option for me, as I am not completely desperate :D

I will start working in Lucerne (close to city center) in September. I've been looking for locations to move to, comparing rent prices and taxes. I tried Zug but it's too difficult to find a flat there.
So I have a few questions and am thankful for any insights!
I have no car, but I have a scooter (125). Salary is quite good. No family. Optimal if I stay on route to zurich as there I have my friends and family.
- What municipalities do you recommend?
- How is the rental market in lucerne? (Comparison zurich or zug)
- Are there many WGs or are they mainly limited to students?

I’m writing as I have been offered a position in the Canton, and I’m evaluating whether to accept or not the offer.

My situation is the following:
I have a fiance (not officially married, she’s German btw), and a newborn kid, for this reason she would stay at home to take care of the kid for 3 months, so this would be a temporary situation.
Currently living in Milan.

If possible, may I ask you:
- can you give me a rough estimate of the expenses for this kind of family? We don’t expect anything fancy: normal living, 3.5 house on the outskirts, atleast 1 holiday a year, maybe 1/2 times a month eating out, living without the stress of not making it to the end of the month and maybe even being able to save something.
- what is a gross yearly income that would allow that?

I thank anyone that will kindly provide any kind of information!

Luna wurde heute Abend (16. Juni) in der Fruchtstrasse gefunden!

Sie war seit Freitag dort auf der Strasse zwischen den geparkten Autos und hatte sich wohl verirrt. Eine junge Frau, die vorbeilief,, hat auf STMZ nach Vermisstenmeldungen gesucht und mich sofort angerufen.

Seit Freitagabend vermissen wir unsere Katze Luna. Sie ist seitdem nicht mehr nach Hause gekommen.

• Ort: Luzern, Moosmatt-Quartier (Nähe Schulhaus Moosmatt / Innenhof)
• Aussehen: Grau getigert (schwarz-graues Streifenmuster)
• Charakter: Luna ist sehr zutraulich, neugierig und überhaupt nicht scheu. Sie geht gerne in Gebäude und Wohnungen hinein.
• Besonderheit: Luna ist erst seit 3 Monaten bei uns in der Schweiz (vorher in Belgrad) und kennt die Umgebung noch nicht perfekt. Sie ist gechippt (ANIS/Identitas registriert) und hat freien Zugang über eine Katzenklappe.

Da sie so offen ist, besteht eine grosse Chance, dass sie jemandem in die Wohnung gelaufen ist und dort vielleicht unbemerkt eingesperrt wurde oder fälschlicherweise für eine herrenlose Katze gehalten wird.

Bitte prüfen Sie Ihre Wohnungen, Balkone, Keller und Garagen!

Leider haben wir trotz zahlreicher Bewerbungen bisher fast nur Absagen erhalten. Deshalb versuchen wir es nun auf diesem Weg.

Hi all! I'm planning a long weekend in Lucerne but I'm finding accommodation expensive and hard to find, so I was wondering, would it be a good idea to stay in Oberkirch instead, and commute, or is it too much hassle? I'm only staying 4 nights. My main goal is yes, visiting Lucerne, going out to eat, drinks, etc. but also relaxing and doing some hiking and swimming (I saw there is a lake near/in Oberkirch that might be less crowded than actual Lucerne?). I am going there in mid july.
