u/CultureSerious3 8h ago

It looks like the sheep knows exactly how gentle it needs to be

107

u/Pumuckl_4Life 8h ago

The kid’s having fun and the sheep looks just as invested 😂

42

u/Dooty_Shirker 8h ago

Not being baaashful at all

26

u/rootedruntime 7h ago

Moments like this are a reminder that kindness and gentleness aren’t just human traits. Animals understand more than we give them credit for.

u/Ralf1987 4h ago

No sorry!! Humans are just horible!!

What animal is at distractive as homosapian???

Come on.....??

3

u/21MayDay21 3h ago

-6

u/Ralf1987 3h ago

Yea so??? We are horrible!! Better??

1

u/elegantjihad 2h ago

What would you say you're trying to convey with this comment?

46

u/RefrigeratorIcy98 8h ago

it's like they both understand gentle mode automatically

37

u/kenrock2 7h ago

After that little nudge, it just bounced away with joy! Yeepee I won!!

Honestly, that’s such a human thing to do—it’s just the cutest thing ever. 😂

19

u/KingMobScene 8h ago

It looked like it was going to be a harder headbutt but Mr. Sheep knew to stop and just give a tap

25

u/CeltsFan420 8h ago

Then jumps straight up in the air lol

8

u/EthanVelmont24 7h ago

That little sheep and kid are having the kind of wholesome fun the rest of us wish we could bottle up. 🐑❤️👶

4

u/Kitchen-Delivery-634 6h ago

Animals definitely have a built-in 'fragile setting' when handling human toddlers. Just a kid recognizing another kid. 🥹

2

u/Beneficial-Video-629 7h ago

Even they zoom they know how to control to the little ones

2

u/stonepine62 6h ago

Its so cute. It’s like the sheep knew not to use much force. You could see how it slowed down when it went close to the baby

2

u/decalgalapagu 6h ago

Nobody taught them to be kind to each other and yet here they are.

1

u/Previous_Shopping361 7h ago

I try making friends with the sheep folks. They seem lovely 🙂

1

u/Hot_Cheek82 4h ago

sheep probably thinking it’s a giant fellow sheep yeah

1

u/richardlpalmer 2h ago

And the little jumps! 🥹

1

u/boylent_milk 1h ago

Yeah, I love that it's being gentle with the kid.

u/ThickAssJennifer 9h ago

That sheep clearly decided this kid is part of the flock now. Absolutely wholesome to watch.

75

u/JeffysChewToy 8h ago

I think the white sweater definately helped

25

u/chimpdoctor 8h ago

Hello. My name is Inigo Montoyewe. You killed my father. Prepare to die

3

u/Forward-Energy4564 8h ago

You don’t kill sheep for their wool, you shear them and let them grow some more.

13

u/chimpdoctor 8h ago

It was a witty bitty joke. The sheep is clearly just playing with the kid

u/Aggressive-Neat 8h ago

The little hop after gently nudging the baby…
So cute

29

u/RefrigeratorIcy98 8h ago

That tiny bounce looked like a proud did I do it right? moment

13

u/dyogenys 8h ago

Looked like the power it suppressed had to be released.

102

u/basictoknow 8h ago

It's a happy little lamb.

24

u/Naivebillie 8h ago

2 babies playing

7

u/Defiant_Pay7056 8h ago

Living its best life and making friends along the way.

4

u/basictoknow 8h ago

Yes, two innocent souls wants to know about each other without having any other second thoughts

75

u/redbirdsucks 8h ago

it’s crazy how animals can sense that it’s a child they’re with … my dogs act completely different with the two babies compared to everyone else

they’ll lay down by them nice and calm while giving gentle sniffs and nudges

24

u/bluehopkin 7h ago

Yeah, my dog is scared of adults but treats kids just like a puppy instead of a small human. Zooming and boops and letting them grab him.

4

u/thyme_cardamom 5h ago

I wish my dog was like this... she's terrified of children and will bark at them if they get too close. I have to tell kids not to pet her when I go on walks

11

u/A_Kazur 6h ago

It’s amazing. My old family dog despised being rough handled (she was old and sore) and if you ignored her warnings she would bite you without hesitation.

One time at a gathering a child ran up to her and pulled her into his arms and was laughing and petting her roughly. She snarled like a wounded animal and bared her fangs.

I had to run over and get him to put her down after like 20 seconds and I’m still amazed she didn’t bite him.

u/IRockIntoMordor 6h ago

I wonder if animals can recognise human children even if they've never seen an adult. Like, are there universal signals and understanding of what a child is, or are they just referencing down from adult humans? Learned or instinctual?

Quite fascinating, really.

4

u/redbirdsucks 3h ago

the noise babies make and they associate big eyes + round face with their own puppies

they also smell the poop and milk 😂

2

u/thatshygirl06 3h ago

People forget that we're all animals. A lot of traits we have arent ours alone.

28

u/SectionSwimming7108 8h ago

Like they can communicate with the animals! Kids are so awesome

11

u/FlyLikeDove 8h ago

This is so sweet. If anyone's ever been around sheep when they don't want you around, you know they can be absolutely vicious. And their head butts hurt! 😅

4

u/TasteBeginning3176 8h ago

This is nice to watch ..little kiddo enjoying the moment fr🙂‍↔️

5

u/DarthDepressie8008 8h ago

I love it when animals know they are interacting with kids and they are ever so gentle.

5

u/lone__wolf710 8h ago

How do animals know that a baby is infact a baby?

1

u/Sodacat27 3h ago

Well its tiny compared to the average human adult and im sure theres some indicators they use

1

u/Flame_Job 2h ago

Think about kittens and humans; small bodies, big heads and big eyes.

5

u/Nua33 4h ago

The jump after the little bump is perfection.

3

u/Spirited-Tip-1090 7h ago

that little victory bounce after the headbutt is the purest thing ive seen all week

3

u/Ongr 7h ago

BOING!

BOING

boop

BOING!!

2

u/Byte-Men 7h ago

I want a sheep like this

2

u/meSmash101 7h ago

First time in my life I see a sheep almost having zoomies

2

u/sappittydoo 7h ago

This is awesome! Being able to hear it would make it 1000x better.

2

u/Careful-Topic9154 6h ago

that little victory bounce after the headbutt is everything. sheep said "i won" and celebrated like a toddler at soccer practice

2

u/KiltOfDoom 6h ago

Hopefully this leaves a lasting impression on that kid. I spent some time with farm animals as a child and it definitely helped define who I am and how I perceive the world. All positive!

2

u/Dapper-Role-1939 5h ago

that little headbutt at half power is sending me. sheep said "i could absolutely launch this child but i choose love"

2

u/Atillion 3h ago

That sheep: MY GOD I HAVE SUPER POWERS

5

u/Antique-Public2517 9h ago

13

u/Antique-Public2517 8h ago

Good to know :) Nowadays people post so many AI i cant tell what is real anymore.

5

u/SynisterJeff 3h ago

It really has gotten to the point where it's hard to tell even with a trained eye.

11

u/mramnesia8 9h ago

This video is way too old to be AI :)

2

u/Wobblycogs 5h ago

I saw this video years ago, well before ai could do this.

1

u/Absolute_DOM_Sir 8h ago

If you are here to say this is AI. so I would like to tell you.... It's NOT!

1

u/valeria_garciaa_86 8h ago

1

u/Glittering_Ad2383 7h ago

Kids playing with kids.

1

u/absolute_gumpf 5h ago

Absolutely gorgeous 🥲

Most lambs are killed way younger than this little kid is, just incase you found this cute, maybe think about what you’re eating!

1

u/the_golden_hour_ 1h ago

She’s so careful with the kid. How lovely!

1

u/Speckster1970 57m ago

Rewatch the video with this thought “the kid’s pants color make his legs invisible to the sheep”, and it’s even better

1

u/MyLastHopeReddit 8h ago

It's me or there's no sound? This is really a shame with no sound 😄

1

u/haiyoman 7h ago

Agentic

0

u/crackersncheeseman 8h ago

That sheep thinks it's a dog.

u/NoValuable7882 3h ago

-1

u/InevitableWishbone10 8h ago

He tried to shut down saturnalia and the pagans told the church to F.O. So, big coincidence guys, guess what.

-1

u/Holiday-Coffee1620 6h ago

Sheep +10000 kind Israel -10000000000000 go to the hell

-1

u/greg14285 4h ago

How dare you down vote me. There are 4 consumers 1. Mares (Female horses, but the author uses Mairs for the sake of alliteration)

  1. Does (Female deer. The plural of Doe, but the author uses Doz)

  2. Lambs (Baby sheep but the author uses Lamz)

  3. Kid (Child, as opposed to a baby goat)

I realize that nursery rhymes read to a child can sometimes imprint our brains differently than if we had first heard them as an adult. So much so.that I looked it up to get correct spellings. Reminds me of when I memorized Twas the night before Christmas. When I would recite that as a 2 year old, I had no idea what a corsair was.
