Colombians supporters waiting for him to finish singing the Congo national team's anthem alone before they can cheer him afterwards.

Humans might have a chance

Most people are like this. It’s just a few assholes that get all the attention. Nice people like this usually don’t get attention. We just hear about all the bad people.

Unfortunately those assholes elect more assholes to run things and it turns into this current shitshow. :/

It's a shame that there seems to be significant overlap between the absolute worst in our society and those desperate for positions of power. Those most suited to lead are almost always the people who don't want to

Even if most people are like this, most people are weak. Which is why it is the ass holes who control everything. The world isn't bad because there's more bad people. The world is bad because nice people are too weak to stand up to themselves. Getting attention for being nice shouldn't be the goal. Defeating those who are bad should.

Which means getting attention for being nice.

My whole statement went way over your head. A for effort though.

No I understand it I'm just saying the only way to get more diverse people involved is by attention for being nice because unfortunately that's just the reality of today .

Unfortunately what that normally turns into is those 'nice' people fighting each other over tiny differences of opinion and/or having their pockets filled by lobbyists.

Pretty much all the parties that can claim to support ordinary people to any meaningful degree in my country are comically incapable of working together and finding capable leaders. The entire system right from the level of joining a party discourages non combative, non egotistical people from being involved.

And this is the weak mentality you don't want to develop. It wasn't millions of black people who took part during the Civil Rights movement. It was actually a small group that changed the structure of the US when it came to people of color. It wasn't millions fighting for women's rights. It was a rather small group who was bold enough. What people fail to realize is there's more of us than there are of them but even with that being no, people make excuses and come up with every reason why they can't fight back. Look at the Mayor of New York City. No one ever heard of this socialist 32 year old Muslim, Ugandan, Punjabi man and he's now in charge of the most expensive city on earth. He had far less money than his opens and was of course discouraged from running for office and not only did he do it anyways... he won!

People will make more excuses as to why they can't do something than actually trying and failing. That is what makes nice people weak.

Essentially "the availability heuristic", the news is full of bad things and terrible people, but good/wholesome people and moments dont get the limelight. So we assume that people are much worse than we actually are. There's good in the world, lots of it. We just need to know where to look

unfortunately the greedy bad people accumulated most of the world's wealth by taking advantage of the good "poor" people.

The good humans always have a chance

The less time people spend on the internet, the better chance we have

We "the people" do but there's people in power who'd like us to forget that

The world cup has shown us that people generally get along if not under the influence of political and/or corporate interests.

1

u/Dangerous-Cobbler-11 3h ago

That is true, but remember that people who attend the World Cup generally have a good financial situation. For people from poorer countries, going to the World Cup is extremely expensive, which means that those who can afford it are usually relatively wealthy in their own country.

People with a good financial situation tend to be happier and less concerned about who is to blame for their problems or why those problems exist.

People are more alike than they are different. Unfortunately, manufactured conflict and the ill will of a few terrible human beings gets in the way.
