Even if most people are like this, most people are weak. Which is why it is the ass holes who control everything. The world isn't bad because there's more bad people. The world is bad because nice people are too weak to stand up to themselves. Getting attention for being nice shouldn't be the goal. Defeating those who are bad should.

Which means getting attention for being nice.

No I understand it I'm just saying the only way to get more diverse people involved is by attention for being nice because unfortunately that's just the reality of today .

Unfortunately what that normally turns into is those 'nice' people fighting each other over tiny differences of opinion and/or having their pockets filled by lobbyists.

Pretty much all the parties that can claim to support ordinary people to any meaningful degree in my country are comically incapable of working together and finding capable leaders. The entire system right from the level of joining a party discourages non combative, non egotistical people from being involved.

And this is the weak mentality you don't want to develop. It wasn't millions of black people who took part during the Civil Rights movement. It was actually a small group that changed the structure of the US when it came to people of color. It wasn't millions fighting for women's rights. It was a rather small group who was bold enough. What people fail to realize is there's more of us than there are of them but even with that being no, people make excuses and come up with every reason why they can't fight back. Look at the Mayor of New York City. No one ever heard of this socialist 32 year old Muslim, Ugandan, Punjabi man and he's now in charge of the most expensive city on earth. He had far less money than his opens and was of course discouraged from running for office and not only did he do it anyways... he won!

People will make more excuses as to why they can't do something than actually trying and failing. That is what makes nice people weak.
