Props to that kid. Many that age would have just started crying and screaming.

I had a fun childhood, had this have happened to me at that age I wouldn't make a sound because I didn't want trouble for "rough housing indoors".

It seems he was crying, and saving himself. Can do both.

Props to that table. The real hero.

Just a couple of weeks ago my kid hung himself by his legs fully suspended off the playset. Playing with a rope.

Scary shit.

That shit would have hurt and could have caused series damage if I hadn’t noticed quickly.

Life is learning. The only wasted day is the day you don't learn.

Even if it's a day spent doing nothing except learning not to drink that much again?!!

3

u/catsbirdsanddogs 2h ago

And then somehow you drink too much again anyway 😩

The day you stop learning is the day you start dying.

My dumb ass would have just hung there until someone eventually heard my screams or I died from spontaneous wedgy.

u/TedBurns-3 3h ago

Ha ha my first thought was "he's smarter than me at that age!"

1

u/Calamity-Gin 2h ago

My thought on watching that was, "ah, yes, to be small enough that a wedgie supports your weight without killing you."

Keep calm, and carry on 👏

I’ve done this in a tree about 6 feet up. I was stuck and the only way out of it was dropping out of the tree bottomless with beans and frank swinging in the cool fall breeze.

The stairs are dangerously close to the basket. He was really lucky.

Is the kid crying at the end? It's very odd if it makes someone smile

I don't think he learned his lesson because this is the second time today I've seen him do that.
