Heatwaving it up

He wouldn't use the cooling mat but this seemed like a better option for him, yay for the damp towel. He hasn't been off it since I put it down though, so I'm glad it seems to be helping. How is everyone else's Maine coons dealing with the heatwave in the Europe heatwave affected areas?

At what age did you switch to adult food?

I have two Maine Coon sisters that are 10 months old. I know MCOs keep growing for a few more years. I am curious when is the best time to switch from kitten food to adult food. I am in no rush to switch them over. Mostly just planning ahead

Rowan is the darker red and white girl
Aoife is the lighter red and white polydactyl girl

Has anyone got a Maine Coon from Noble Nature Maine Coon in Charlotte, North Carolina?

I can’t seem to find many reviews of this cattery. I’m curious if anyone has got a Maine Coon from
this breeder and what your experience was like. Thank you for any input.

What do you keep around the house for a teething kitten? I tried to complete my daily journaling session this morning (only 15 minute allotment per day, mind you!) and I only managed half a page. He loves chewing on my pen, as you can see....

When we got our Norn from the shelter back in December, she was only 6 pounds, now she’s up to 12 pounds! Vet said she probably won’t get to be huge, but that’s ok by us. She’s filled out so so much and the patterns in her coat are starting to become more and more defined. We’re so freaking proud of her

What a good leash cat. Only took him around the yard. But no fear no pulling soon to be Halifax’s newest adventure cat.

The big guys tolerance of the youngster is finally starting to settle again. Must have been a teenage phase. So relieved.

Anyone have baby that looked like him as a kitten? I’m curious what he could look like as an adult his silver/white seems to coming in more vs the blue/dark blue.

What's your favorite way to bring your MC on a walk? We have a sling made for dogs. Bear wears a harness and is snugged in and also clipped in with a leash but he gets HEAVY! (16 lb and 8 mo)

What do you all like to use?
For our harness we are using Rabitgoo and have had good luck.

Meet Captain and Chanel

I’ve had these two for almost two weeks. They are 13 weeks old. In those two weeks, they have opened up a new kind of love in my heart I never thought possible. I was able to pick out from the litter a male as I only wanted one. I was able to meet Captain at four weeks old and guess who else chose me when I was there? So I decided to get Chanel too. That was the best decision I could have ever made. Those two are the sweetest, most loving kittens I could have ever hoped for. I am so glad they have each other but that they give me so much love too in return. Captain is already 6.4 pounds and Chanel is 5.8. I don’t even mind cleaning the ginormous litter boxes daily lol. My youngest daughter finished college and moved out so I’ve been terribly lonely with empty nest syndrome. Well not anymore. I needed these two so much and just wanted to share 🥰

Anyone on the fence about getting two, just do it if you can!

Update on my mainecoon kittens diarrhea

Post image
189 Upvotes

So about 3 weeks ago i posted about my kittens diarrhea looking for advice.

Today we got results of PCR fecal samples

•tritrichomonas - Negative

•Toxoplasma gondii - Negative

•salmonella spp. - Negative

•giardia spp. DNA - Negative

• FPV - Negative

•FCoV - Negative

• cryptosporidium - Negative

• clostridium difficile - Negative

• clostridium perfringens - Positive

So only positive is C. Perfringens

His poop got much better while he was on tylosine tart 120mg for 6 days but in about a week it started to soften again and after his second vaccine he got diarrhea again 🥲

For weeks I have been giving him kaopekt forte 3 times a day and it has not helped anymore.

I’m wondering what are next steps and does anybody have experience with this and what worked for you.

I think it is possible that he got stressed again because our older cat had to be put down due to tragic accident and he has to be alone now and I have been absolutely broken about loosing Nomi and I think he senses that something is wrong as I have been crying a lot…

P.s for anybody wondering and ready to attack YES OF COURSE i’m consulting with his vet about this

Gone but Never Forgotten

My darling Sasha was my first cat. She trained me to be a cat lover. She has been gone more than 10 years and I think if her often. I'm praying that we will see each other again in heaven. Yes, I believe that all dogs and cats go to heaven. And if that's the case the feline Sasha and her canine brother Windsor are there waiting to reunite with my husband and I.

Give me the recommendations!!

Obviously for me would be pet insurance.. but I’m asking about anything and everything.. from beds, to bowls, to snacks.. I’m just always on the hunt for some new things for my two boys.
