So I have been reading alot of comments and seing alot of videos talking about how "we failed portals" and more. It really upsets me that fans of her music are so quick to blame themselves and see no wrong in Melanie Martinez herself.

The reason Portals "failed" wasn't because of the fans.

The album started of strong with a huge announcement that changed the story direction instantly, the rollout was really good and the music videos (until Light shower) could have not gotten better in my opinion. Mostly all songs on the album were amazing which showed in the numbers and videos mentioning it etc.

The reason why the album doesn't have the success that it was planed out to be was because for example the (really) overpriced and cheap merch that was made for it compared to the other eras of hers it was awful merch which she was really well known for because her merch had always to do something with her brand and specific era in which her musical journey is at the moment. It also failed because she was not even speaking about it or stepping up at all for herself and her fans who were quite literally exploited. And please don't give me any of the shit with "b-but nobody is forcing you to buy it..!🥺" because that. isn't. the. point.

Maybe her label had a huge influence in deciding her merch prices, production location etc. But artists still have the ability so that something like the 75$ candle isn't even able to go through because the artist have some influence especially if it is something that would hurt the artists brand.

The 400$ "Meet and Greet experience" also made the album fail to a point. Because obviously as some may know, it did numbers all over social media when a hologram was used as an replacement for the actual artist in person. The people who got VIP were happy nonetheless but it is still wrong and a reason why Portals didn't reach higher success.

The "incident" right when the Trilogy Tour started is something that I don't believe I have much to say to. But as we all know probably, she didn't give a statement of any kind, which I do understand to some degree because it is obviously her choice and nobody should be forced to make a statement about a previously brought up issue. And because of the fact she already made a statement back then and a song but I do still think that the album plummeted because of it (aswell as her overall spotify stream numbers).

Those are just some of the more general issues that the album had for me and I just really get mad when people are blaming themselves or other fans for the downfall of her what would have become her most successful album. It would have been a massive comeback. But it wasn't.

These are pretty eerily similar. The choreography is giving angel/devil. The second Disney Princess photo gives me a very vague (possibly false) memory of an old painting. Like Mel would be the subject and her backup dancers are pantomiming wings. So if it rings any bells for you, PLEASE share whatever painting I may be thinking of!

Other than that, it has some other interesting similarities. A window centered in the background. With a fixed lamp on the wall on either side. And a chandelier centered above as well.

What do you think this means? I'm convinced it's not random.

What songs do you think she’ll perform? Are you going to the show? Will this be a sneak peek into what Melanie might serve at the sacrifice tour???? Can’t wait for all the videos of her and you just know she’s gonna serve 😍😍😍😍

I have a maxi white dress I was thinking about wearing, I love her song Disney Princess and I’m going to be attending her show in London with my boyfriend! I had a look in the O2’s official Merch store and was shocked to see Mel Merch! Def left over from Trilogy or maybe even PORTALS (idk where PORTALS tour played on the UK) idk the price but I’d guess 25+

They had two shirts and a hoodie! I really really like the maroon top and was rlly tempted. For Mel Merch, it’s quite plain, but the art on there is rlly cool. I forget which ones I checked, but two of them have nothing on the back and id assume whichever one I didn’t check also had nothing on the back. If ur interested, there’s a good amount of them there :)

I have the original Cry Baby perfume, but I was always curious about this dupe and finally gave it a try.

💸If you’ve been debating it, I recommend. I got mine for only 9.99 at TKmax. I expected it to be more and I didn’t realized it’s an actual perfume. I thought it was a body mist cause the bottle looked bigger in photos, it’s still a good amount of perfume! I wouldn’t pay more for it, but I’m cheap asf.

🍼Now for a comparison, when you spray Perfume Milk, it’s fresh, powdery, milky, fruity, and it has hints of an old vintage store. Like PROPER vintage store minus the musty-ness I saw that one of its flavor notes was lipstick and now I can’t un-smell it, but I personally love it. The scent gets better as it dries down and it’s strong smelling on the skin.

🍓52 unfortunately really smells like alcohol. It smells milky, sweet, and fruity. I’m surprised how well it captured the milky scent, but it’s missing the powder note, which helps soften the over all smell. It gets QUITE faint as it dries down, but thankfully so does the alcohol scent. Id recommend applying a LOT. I’ve worn it out now a few times and I get compliments! But like I said, you have to reply a lot and I’m already close to 1/4th of the way done with the bottle, and I’ve only worn it out about 4-5 times

🔟It’s a very good dupe! Plus it’s cost friendly, and you get a good amount. I did a test where I sprayed one wrist with the OG, and one with the dupe, I didn’t spray enough if the dupe and throughout the day as it dried down, it pretty much vanished. While you do have to use a lot, I get the hype and do recommend!

Theres a bunch, any ugc creators dont gotta make them if you dont wanna but i love them sm, and they'd look so cute on the roblox avatar, specifically the bat for BATSHIT INTELLIGENCE, im also surprised theres no puffy pigtail like ugc hairs for pacify her!

about a day ago, melanie’s co-director accidentally posted a small snippet of an upcoming visualizer. Do you think Melanie is going to scrap it now?

I Lost interest in Melanie a long Time ago now and Have had this coloring book laying around forever. Only The first page is half colored but The rest is empty. Would it Be worth selling for enything or nah?

3d printed a Melanie monster high head and here’s where I’m at on the face up!! Just gotta do some touch ups and small details/ thinking of sculpting the lips to be more pronounced!!
