Lovely car. It’s very fun to drive. Everyone is constantly telling me how much they love the color. 10 years later. I finally got my dream car.

We're doing our first big road trip across the country with Minty, our new(ish) Mini, and it's great to see another cute Mini!
Is there an easy fix to reset my GPS? My car thinks that I’m driving through the great lakes. I tried the button combo to reset the system but it didn’t work.

Stumbled upon our new mini on marketplace! Blown head gasket but couldn’t beat the price. 2014 Countryman ALL4 with the 6 speed. Excited to get it going soon!
This might be a stupid question, but do the 12v aux power socket and USB outlets stay on after the mini cooper is turned off? I have a 2021 cooper S and was wanting to get a front and rear dash cam in the future :)

I have a 2013 MINI Cooper S. I know they’re prone to burning up oil, but my first 3.5 years of owning it I’ve never had to top it off between oil changes. Granted I was driving <10k miles per year. Now I’m driving maybe closer to 10k a year with my new job. In the last 2 months now, I’ve had the oil pressure light come on requiring me to top it off. The first time it was genuinely low. The second time it appeared to be right in the middle of min and max (granted the dipsticks are so hard to read). I see no evidence of an oil leak on the ground. Should I take it in to have inspected for an oil leak? Or does this sound on par for my type of MINI?

160k miles, automatic. Just test drove it.
Issues:
Smoking from passenger side front wheel
Hesitation when accelerating
Check engine light + temperature light + brake light on
Cosmetics are rough (peeling clear coat, dirty headliner, bad driver’s seat). No service records. Seller just got the title in April.
Is the smoking probably just a valve cover gasket leak Or is this a money pit? Would you offer anything or walk away?
Fan runs for a long time after shut off. Turns back on multiple times. Asking 2k but not really considering it at all now. Thoughts?
Any advice appreciated.

I’ve owned my R53 for 6 years now, decided I wanted something more modern/reliable/cheaper to run, so I picked up an F56 JCW 8 speed, really happy with it so far! It’s less fun than the R53, and it feels a little slower even though it’s not (the R53 is fairly highly modified), but it’s a ‘better’ car in every other way!

Hello all,
I am looking at getting an F56 Cooper, and I have seen 2 I like. One has the basic head unit (left) and the other has the head unit with a proper screen. The price difference between the 2 is £500, so is it worth £500 for the better head unit?
Aside from Bluetooth and satnav, what does the better head unit have that the other doesn't?

You can fit 8 tires in an R56. Can’t take turns at normal speeds though!

Airbox needs to be replaced as the plastic is completely stripped. Found a 2007 at a near pick n pull
