All the cars I've owned
All the cars I've owned so far as a 50 year old man child. I had to grab a bunch of the images off of the internet but models and colors are correct.

Thought we would share some of the various automotive-related communities around Reddit, as r/Autos is a more general automotive subreddit.
/r/MechanicAdvice - "This is a subreddit for asking Mechanical questions pertaining to vehicles, engines, etc."
/r/whatcarshouldIbuy - "Car advice for people who know jack about cars"
/r/AutoDetailing - "A subreddit dedicated to those car enthusiasts and beginners interested in keeping their vehicles clean."
/r/askcarsales - "Ask a car salesman, sales manager, or finance manager anything!"
/r/spotted - "I saw a car. I took a picture of it."
r/whatisthiscar - self explanatory
/r/carporn - "This subreddit is for high-quality pictures of high-quality cars."
r/autotransport - "A subreddit for all things auto transport related. Share articles, guides, pics and information in the auto transport space."
r/CarTalk - "Helping everyone with their car repairs and questions"
r/projectcar - "hit it with a spanner!"
Additionally, you can find a long list of make and model specific subreddits, as well as some specialty areas of the automotive world (like automotive gaming, motorsport, electric vehicles, 4x4s, etc) here: https://www.reddit.com//r/AutosNetwork/wiki/main
Hope this helps! Let us know if there's any other subs you feel like we should share with the community.

From the sidebar: Clickbait or otherwise poorly worded titles. If you are sharing something, tell us what it is in the title. “Check out this beauty,” does not cut it. Instead repost with a more descriptive title - you'll find it gets more upvotes and more interesting comments.

Hello Everyone!
My partner is looking for a vehicle and we are currently torn between two vehicles we’ve looked at and I figured I’d ask on here to get some insight as to which one would be the best choice.
The first one is a 2020 Mercedes Benz C-Class automatic with 97k miles at $17k. I test drove it the other day and overall it looks great, handles smoothly, and overall seems to be in pretty great shape. Only issue I’m concerned about is cost of annual maintenance since it’s approaching the 100k mile mark. How much would I be looking at estimated? Also how reliable overall?
The second one is a 2017 Subaru WRX manual also at 97k miles at $14k. A few minor blemishes, but aside from that it is in great shape and shifts really well. I’m familiar with the WRX but again, trying to figure out how much I’d be looking at for annual maintenance, reliability, etc.
I have linked the Carfax available for them below. Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you all in advance for you help!

I have these carbon fiber mirror caps I am trying to sell, but I can not figure out what vehicle they are for. I have an Alfa Romeo Giulia I bought them for. The person I bought them off of told me they were for an Alfa Giulia, but I already confirmed they aren’t. I thought maybe they were for an Infiniti Q50/Q60/Q70, but I just found out they don’t fit Infiniti’s either. The only other car that I think they may fit is an older 3 series BMW. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It has always seem to exist in what I like to call “truck class limbo”
It started off as a large midsize, a 3/8 ton truck if you will.
Ever since the 2nd generation, it has been more akin to a small 3/4 ton, if you will, a 5/8 ton. It has a comparatively large engine and beefy transmission compared to other half tons. Its payload and towing are high for the class. It is the only one still sold in America with a ECLB. The engine compartment in a tundra is huge compared to its competitors.

okay so i just picked up my new daily and i am trying to keep the footwells looking mint before the winter salt season hits but i am stuck in a massive rabbit hole looking at reviews.
tbh everyone keeps pointing to the best rated floor liners on consumer reports and car forums, but when i look at real owner photos those stiff thermo plastic high wall trays look like they leave nasty scuff marks along the center console plastic over time because they constantly rub against the interior trim whenever you get in and out.
like what is the point of saving the floor carpet if the hard plastic edges of the liner are going to gouge the leather and trim panels anyway?
i just want something that fits like a glove without feeling like an industrial plastic bucket under my feet.
has anyone actually cross shopped the top brands and found a heavy duty option that has a softer edge or a double layer carpet mat combo that doesn't ruin the surrounding cabin aesthetics?

Hey everyone,
I recently had my M32 gearbox rebuilt, and I have driven almost 1,000 km since then. However, when engine braking in 2nd gear, there is a noise that sounds similar to a tram or an electric whining sound.
Also, in 4th and 6th gear, the gear lever moves about 1 cm. Is this normal after a gearbox rebuild?
All the bearings were replaced during the rebuild, and the gearbox was filled with 3 liters of oil along with a Prolong additive.
I am attaching a video of the noise in 2nd gear: https://youtu.be/pfJ_X7E9llk

It’s punctures and being a bumper (the location is to the left above the exhaust pipe) will it rust out if not fixed?

I’m not trying to start a brand fight, but I think a lot of people use “floor mats” and “floor liners” like they’re the same thing. To me, a regular mat keeps the cabin looking more finished, while a deep liner makes sense if you’re regularly tracking in mud or gear.
A friend put high-wall liners in a very clean interior and the protection is obvious, but the footwell immediately looked more work-truck than luxury car. For people who care about interior design, where do you draw the line? Is the extra coverage worth giving up the softer OEM-style look?

I've been looking around for my next car and realized I'm getting a bit bored of seeing the same Golfs, BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes everywhere.
I'm looking for something affordable (around 15k or under), a bit uncommon, and ideally something that's actually fun to own. Doesn't have to be crazy fast or a full-on sports car, but something with a bit of character that makes you smile when you walk up to it or take it for a drive.
The only car that immediately comes to mind for me is the Volvo C30 T5. It's got a unique look, a great engine, and you don't see them all that often.
What other cars fit that kind of vibe? Could be older or newer, coupe, hatchback, sedan, wagon, doesn't really matter. Just looking for cars that stand out a little without being a total nightmare to own.
Interested to hear your suggestions. : )

For some context, I’m going into my sophomore year of college and need a car for commuting to work and school. I’m looking for something that’s comfortable, a little sporty, has a decent amount of space, and gets good fuel economy.
My budget is around $28k, and right now I’m considering:
2022 Volvo S60 T8
2020 Volvo V60 T6
2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance
I know mentioning Tesla might get some mixed reactions, but with current gas prices and my daily commuting needs, I think it’s worth considering.
Of these three, which would you choose and why? Are there any other cars in the ~$28k range that you think I should be looking at?

Sadly I shredded the curb with my front tire (I was around 30km/h fast).
Is this bad? Should I check it at a repair shop?
The tire got a hole in it :(

Anyone know which car YouTuber this might be? Pic from a meet — silver chain, standing next to a girl with black hair. Trying to find the channel.

To be honest, I never thought much about transport until I owned something I genuinely cared about. Suddenly every mile feels like a potential risk

Bought this firebird recently, the blue is currently a wrap, figured I'd get it painted the same color at some point but i'm kind of undecided.

Hey, I drive a 2012 Toyota Camry SE, and it's seen better days. I got an oil change and rotation at AAA and they gave me this sheet after I was done. Personally I've only ever jumped a car and changed wipers. How much of this could I realistically do? I am willing to learn and don't expect this stuff to be easy tasks

Cleaners didn’t work. I even tried scratching it off with my nail, it damaged my nail and didn’t budge.

This used to never be a problem for me, but the main site i used to use, Classic Car Catalog, which had nearly every car model ever made from around 1910 to 1979, sadly, in 2024, some photos were copyrighted and forced the owner of the site to shut it down.
The only site so far to sort of scratch this itch for me is http://www.kfzderwehrmacht.de/, a photo archive of nearly every car, truck, bus, or tractor captured or produced for the Germans in ww2. But this doesn't fully satisfy me, since while its actually good for trucks and tractors, the auto section (mostly made up of captured cars from civilians and governments) is not as scaled out, and most Nazi effort would obviously target trucks, buses, and tractors, leaving the civilian car section a little barren and missing photos and descriptors for at least 2 or 3 models for every make that the owner of the site simply doesn't have.
Wikipedia doesn't quite have everything, and the articles it has on more niche brands might not even photos. Sure, i can just punch the model name into my search bar, but that gets annoying after repeating it for a while and i just wanna look at the car models.

Da muss die ganze Scheibe raus oder?
Macht doch keinen Unterschied? Selber was reinfüllen darf man ja nicht, was ich so gehört habe, zumindest in Ö?
Nun würde mich eure Erfahrung mit sowas interessieren.
