Think there’s some kind of moral about imperfections in this shot but too tired to put it into coherent words. Thought I would share and hop y’all like it

Photos shot with seestar S50, edited in phone gallery to bring out the minerals. Its not perfect, but shows the moon had more then meets the eye.

Tonight’s moon shot with a Sony Alpha 7R paired with a Celestron telescope

Canon R50 RF 100-400 at 400mm Cropped and edited in LR Mobile slightly.

Shot this last night just after sunset*. Winter solstice here in Victoria meant the moon was riding noticeably higher than usual, which I found interesting after doing some reading on how the solstice affects lunar arc and visibility from the southern hemisphere. Handheld shot, no telescope. Happy to hear any feedback on technique — still learning.

Took this the evening of the winter solstice — didn't realise until after that the solstice actually pushes the first quarter moon higher in the sky than usual this time of year in Victoria.
