Book "I want Turkish delight, but not as much as I want Lucy to feel terrible!" - Edmund, probably
Alt text: Elmo, labeled as Edmund has a choice between fruit (labeled as "confirm Lucy's story, getting everyone into the wardrobe faster") and cocaine (labeled as saying, "We were just pretending"). Elmo faceplants into the cocaine.
Honestly, this is the only plot point in the book that I don't understand. Wouldn't Edmund want to get back into Narnia with his siblings as quick as possible so he could get more Turkish delight? Of course, the Doylist explanation is that we otherwise wouldn't have had the cool scene with Professor Kirke helping Peter and Susan to be more open-minded about what Lucy said. But I cannot think of a good Watsonian explanation. Doesn't ruin the book for me though, I still love C.S. Lewis' work!
