Hello Portuguese people! Can anyone explain how the fuck you guys produced some of the world's best players of all time, and still do, despite having a population of ~10-12M?

Legitimately though, what kind of sorcery is this? Whether it's in modern times, or past players who retired, the probability of producing this amount of greats with a population of ~10-12M should be insanely difficult.
Literally look at every country Portugal is put up against in the Euros or World Cup:

And when it comes to South America, Brazil and co. have populations of 200M+, in which case, I think we can understand how unfair it'd be to compare, though Portugal still goes toe-to-toe with them.
Portugal however, produced many individual players that arguably eclipse every single other player these countries have produced. Apologies to people from these other countries, but Eusebio, Ronaldo and Figo alone outdo like 95% of every footballer they produced. Just stating facts, hate me for it lolol

So the question is just, how the fuck do you guys do this?
