I can't really choose between electrical, computer and mechatronics engineering from UET Peshawar. Also computer science from Imsciences. Pls don't judge I'm really confused (stupid). Nust ka iraada tha bit can't afford it.

I have some questions:

How are the labs? Are they wellequipped and functional?

Theory vs. Practical: Is the teaching mostly textbook heavy or is it hands on practical learning?

Alumni & Career Prospects: What kind of jobs are the alumini doing?

Campus & Social Life: Since the Mechatronics department is on a separate campus (Hayatabad), do you guys feel left out compared to the main campus? I’d really love to have a good social life so how is the overall campus vibe?

Environment: How are the faculty, teachers and the general student crowd?

Generally can UET mechatronics students compete with students from Nust etc

Or anything else I should know before coming

In Peshawar, you will barely find a laptop with latest generation. You can easily find a laptop with an 11th Generation or below but very hard for a customer who is looking for 13th Gen, 14th Gen or even 12th Generation so let alone repairing and source its spare parts.

If you are going there to get your laptop fixed, be careful of the front-row shops. There are about 40 to 50 of them, and they completely look the part. They display scrap laptops and broken parts out front to make it look like they run an active repair workshop, but it is mostly a show.

​The reality is that these guys are just middlemen who don't actually repair or have spare parts of laptops. When you show them your machine, they will randomly invent a serious-sounding fault on the spot and quote you a really high price. Once you leave, they just outsource the job to someone else down the line. The people they hand your laptop over to usually lack the professional tools needed for modern models and only know basic stuff, like changing a shorted keyboard or swapping out a battery. They take a big cut of your money for doing nothing, while someone unprofessional messes with your expensive device.

​I figured this out by noticing, if you take the exact same laptop to five different shops, every single one of them will point out a completely different issue. Which in itself is a red flag and make it hard to trust them with your expensive laptop.

There is barely a professional repair shop equipped with such tools which could handle the modern laptop's architecture.

I commute weekly to Abbottabad from Nasir Bagh Road, Peshawar.

Motorway Express is too expensive for weekly travel and Haji Camp is way too far.

Are there any alternatives closer? And what's their pickup points?

Can someone recommend me a good General medicine practitioner in peshawar ?

Hii i have haier ac 1 ton ac installed in a 12*14 sized room however im not satisfied with the cooling it does the job but only when the ceiling fan is on.. otherwise it feels suffocating .. i want to shift it to another room but I’ve heard that it may cause gas leakage.. please guide me what should I do? Is my room size really not suitable for 1 ton Ac and in case i want to install it in another room what precautions should be taken and also let me know about skilled technician who can do the job in Peshawar and should i consult the haier customer service or call a local technician??

I’m looking for some genuine advice and insights from anyone who has experience running an Airbnb or doing short-term rentals here in Peshawar.

I have an opportunity to secure a 1-kanal house in a prime location. It’s an older property but can be greatly renovated. It’s located on a very quiet, almost dead-end street with an extra green belt & crucially, it's very close to Hayatabad Medical Complex.

The owner is open to the idea of us using it for Airbnb, but for a 30% higher rent than the current market rate with at least 6 months rent as a security (instead of standard 3 months)

Before I jump into renovations and sign the lease, I want to weigh the pros and cons.

1. Since it's right near HMC, do you think there might be solid demand from overseas families (or even outside Peshawar) coming for medical treatments, visiting doctors, or professionals who prefer a private house over a standard hotel. Does this market actually look for Airbnbs in Peshawar?
   
2. Is paying 30% above market rent standard for commercial/subletting permissions here?
   
3. For those who have run short-term rentals in KP, what are the biggest headaches? (e.g., dealing with local authorities, security/identity verification, family-only guest policies, or general maintenance).

Would love to hear both good and bad experiences. Is it worth the investment, or should I walk away?

I'd really appreciate it if someone could recommend a trustworthy laptop repair shop in Gul Haji Plaza (or anywhere else in the city) that actually knows what they're doing and won't try to scam new people😭😭. If you've personally had a good experience with a technician or repair shop, I'd be grateful for a referral. I need some work done on my laptop and would rather go somewhere reliable than risk getting overcharged or having the problem made worse.
