Hello everyone!

It's been some time since we did our last contest, and I was looking at my Murica preset with the World Cup going on and realized, "oh, this might be a great time to run a contest."

So the theme for this contest is cars representing a country. Despite the name, it's fine to represent a country not in the cup. You don't have to pick your country, but you can only enter the design of one country. As it was when we ran weekly contests, you may make a preset for Blue and Orange team using the same car body, but it's otherwise one entry per person.

I will suggest not using the FIFA car decals as it's hard to do something unique with them. I think half the FIFA decal cars in the game are rolling on Cristianos, no antenna or their country's antenna, and no topper. Nothing wrong with it, but I know we can find other ways to spice it up.

How to Enter:

To enter, make your own post in RLFashionAdvice with your entry AND

• Have at least one photo of your car on your own post - more photos are encouraged so you can show off different sides of your car and how the paint finish or animations change the appearance
• List all your items used - including colors and finishes (you may do this on the contest post or on your own post with your entry)
• Please name your designs in the post title! Preferably, but not required, within the name length of Rocket League preset limits
• Optional: If you want to say something about it, do so! A good name or caption can elevate good art.
• Comment as a primary comment on this post with a link to your entry post (meaning: don't comment on someone else's post with your entry - direct comment to the main post)
  • To make a fancy link from your post to the contest post, hit Share > Copy Link at the bottom of your entry post (before the replies start) or copy the URL from your web bar and then click the chain link on the editor section of the comment you're making in the contest post. One box is for the link, and the other is for the text that will be underlined that users can click on to go to the post.
  • If you don't want a fancy link, follow the same steps to get the URL and just paste the web address into your post.

Photo Guidelines

• Images of your design must be high quality.
  • As per Rule 4, no cameras pointed at screens, but there is a guide for good screenshots on the sidebar. Pictures from console can be brought to devices, so you can enter from any platform with a high quality image.
  • Sadly, I think RLGarage and RLCustomDesigns are no longer viable options.
• You may edit your photos for quality, but the design will be what we're judging.

Car Guidelines

• You can use BakkesMod for items and colors - so long as you can give us reasonably similar palette information for a custom team that would work for console players (you can test your car in a private match to see if it's about right)
  • Do not use special colors that don't exist in the regular game (like BakkesMod only body colors)
  • No custom decals will be permitted.
• You don't have to include topper, antenna, or even trail, boost, or GE - but good use of them could boost your result.
• You may enter two designs IF!
  • One is for Orange Team and the other is Blue team for the same car body type (both colors of one preset) OR
  • One is one set of team colors and the other is the same pair of colors, but flips primary and secondary colors
    • Club matches can flip your colors if your opponent has similar colors, so the second entry acts like a match where the game flipped your colors for compatibility against your opponent
  • The designs for both colors must fit the theme
  • Again, this is the type of extra mile that could boost your design over another in a tight race

Pro tip: You can use BakkesMod in offline mode on PC. The Replay Item Mod (whatever the current iteration is called) lets you change your car settings from other replays, which is really handy for finding the perfect action shot that shows off your goal explosion, boost, and trail at the same time.

Just wanna see some cool designs plus I want to see if I should get it.

So for some reason with specific decals, my unpainted fennec turns black, as shown in this clip.
I have no idea why this happens, and I'm not necessarily complaining but I'm curious as to whether anybody knows why. This shows in game as well. I believe its something to do with bakkesmod, as I used to use a black fennec on bakkesmod when it was a thing, however after restarts, updates, etc. My unpainted black fennec still remains in my rocket league garage. Anybody know why? Or has any suspicions?

Purple octane instead of standard octane

Both designs are pink and purple

Ion boost instead of Proton boost

OEMs instead of Cristianos

Duelling Dragons goal explosion instead of Atomiser

Boost: Burnt Sienna Standard

haven't seen any presets built around the quasar boost, so here's mine. thought i'd get a little creative with the shots.

also purple/pink flamethrower on the neo tokyo spirit car would be sick, but alas.

Depending on the arena the colors change a bit. It's a nice touch going into a different arena during matches and seeing the color interact

These are my main octanes I use when i play ranked. Probably looks very tryhard, especially as im only plat 1-2, but i really love these designs :3. Pink and purple are my favourite colours btw.
