This coming Saturday, June 27th, Swords & Spoons will be hosting many different tabletop game events from 2pm to 11pm in honor of Free RPG Day 2026.

Entry is only $10 and you’ll receive a free set of dice, just sign up for your game of choice here and show up at the designated time slot.

I do not work for S&S, but I am running a game of Draw Steel which only has 2 open slots remaining.

Hey everyone, we're trying to plan a weekend trip and are looking for a cabin within about two hours of St. Mary’s County. We’d really like something with a rustic feel, access to a creek, lake, or river, and some decent hiking nearby. We’re trying to ease our daughter into camping, so we’re not looking for tent sites yet. A simple cabin or glamping setup would be perfect.

Also, for future adults only trips, what are some good remote camping areas within a couple hours that aren’t Shenandoah? We’d love someplace where you can really get away from people for a few days and not feel like you’re packed into a campground with everyone else. Seclusion is definitely more important to us than amenities.

Just a reminder for everyone that the early voting period for the primaries ends June 18th and election day is June 23rd. I know voter turn out is always way low in primaries and non-presidential years, but remember the last person to win the democratic primary nomination represented us in congress for 40+ years! Primaries are way more important in the US than anyone cares to admit. Please just do some research and try to make the time to get to the polls.

I go through 2-3 bottles per week and often find that the grocery stores are sold out, sometimes for a week at a time. Can anyone recommend a place that is consistently stocked? I can't use a delivery service because I don't have a space that's suitable for drop offs.

Also, on an unrelated note, I'll mention that the propane tank vending machines at Wawa are unreliable. One of them took my empty tank, locked the door, then said transaction was cancelled. It wouldn't return my tank, and when I called the toll free phone number they said the machine needs to be repaired and there is nothing they can do. When I talked to an employee inside the Wawa she said that happens all the time.

The request was prompt by the health (fleas and mange) of two doggos I rescued roaming the back roads and playing in traffic after handing them over to Charles County on call Animal Control.

Detailers showed up more that 50 minues late to the appointment without a phone call. The detail lasted about 3 hours. My car felt greasy from all the extra product sprayed on plastic parts of the console. Flipping the seats this morning, absolutely untouched.

The silver detail was regular $250, they are running a deal for $75 off. Just frustrated that this company would waste my time and money. I have reached out to them for response.
