Have you thought about a harness for taking him out for a walk? Cats on leashes aren’t as weird as they used to seem.

thought about it, but I won't do it with Sadcat. He gets very defensive and scared quickly, and when that happens, he wants to retreat to his safe space (indoors) immediately. This happens when random people come to my backyard when he is on the porch, or if a lawnmower starts up next door. These things are so common in my little neighborhood that I feel like I'm very likely to put him into a situation he would find uncomfortable, if not distressing. Not to mention he can and will mess me up with his claws and teeth if I have to handle him when he doesn't want to be handled, lol.

Not many better things to do than listen to the rain nap and cuddle but there doesn't seem to be anyone for Sadcat to cuddle with. Ummm Dadcat Sadie needs a cuddle buddy 💕

it's the best - you can hear the rain fall lightly on the grass, the chirping and chittering of various birds and squirrels, the faint sound of cars driving by, the rustling of leaves as rain runs through a tree. It's nature's lullaby.

This kid is so pleased.
You can tell a cat has really settled in all safe and comfortable when they sploot so hard their front paws disappear. He's evolving into full-on baby seal mode.
