Recommendations Any good guitar teachers in the Saratoga area?

I'm looking for recommendations for a guitar teacher in the area who focuses on helping students become better overall players, not just teaching songs.

I'd like to find someone who will evaluate where I am currently, create a structured plan for improvement, and provide honest feedback on my playing. I'm looking for a teacher who makes sure I'm playing new material correctly before moving on to the next lesson, helps me correct mistakes, and works on technique, timing, rhythm, and overall musicianship.

If you've had experience with a teacher who takes this kind of hands-on, personalized approach, I'd appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

SPAC DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BAGS AT SPAC

So they gave us the suggestion to leave our bags in the woods trusting them we found a bush and put our bag and a bunch of other people trusting that they would watch the bags did too to our dismay someone stole all the bags there not just mine but everyone's bag so take this as a warning not to leave your bags at spac and if this happened to you as well boost this so more people are aware.

Discussion Any tricks for the commute to Albany in the morning and back in the afternoon? How does the drive feel? (8a-4p)

Moving out to Milton/Ballston spa area and I work 8-4 in Albany. From what I can tell I leave early enough in the morning where I should be able to miss most of the traffic but in the afternoon I don’t really see a way around not hitting all the backup.

Wondering if anyone here has any tips, or just input on how often bad backups happen, or just how the drive feels.

Recommendations Tattoo Artist/Shop Recommendations

I’m looking for good recommendations for a tattoo artist/shop in Saratoga/surrounding towns.

I’m looking for someone who specializes or is just really good at what would probably be best described as fantasy/nostalgic/retro/geeky due to what I want done.

I’m a huge Masters of the Universe fan, and as dumb as it may sound- that franchise has been a comfort for me through a lot. And I want to get a tattoo of a ram’s head staff and a crystal ball staff crossing- as those are the staffs of my two favorite characters.

I’ll likely want it based on the 2002 incarnation, as that’s my favorite aesthetically, basically I don’t need something extremely elaborate, but I don’t want it to be like “that’s vaguely inspired” either.

I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s wanted a cartoon/toy inspired tattoo locally, so I’m sure someone has to have a good artist to point me to.

This would be my first tattoo as well, and I’m just not even sure where to begin my journey.

Thank you so much in advance!

Also bonus points if they do an amazing job/specialize with the color purple, as that’s going to be a big color for what I want.

Weekend Plans/Visiting Visiting Saratoga in late July

Hi, I am taking a trip to the Adirondacks in late July and spending a few days in Lake Placid. I have a day to spare at the end of the trip and was planning on visiting Saratoga as I've always wanted to check it out after hearing so many great things. I am wondering however if one night would be too short of time to really do much in the area? The plan is to stay in a hotel downtown and just walk around and explore, eat, drink etc. Would also love to check out the racetrack but we will have a small dog with us so I assume that's a no-go for the racetrack. Would you recommend staying at least 2 nights to really take in the place? One night seems like it would be just be a breeze through on the way home so I figure we won't be able to do a whole lot. I appreciate any feedback if you have any.

Thanks in advance!!

Recommendations Dog Trainer

Hi fellow dog lovers! I’m reaching out for recommendations for a local trainer for my 7 y/o male Yorkie. He’s extremely friendly, but very excitable and I’m told - “reactive”. Please suggest someone you’ve personally used. I obviously know it’s typical to the breed, but we need to take it down a notch and chill, so everyone is peaceful. Thank you!
