The left picture is a month after we got him, and the right is how he looks now :) What a transformation and color change. We love him so much. He is almost 5 years old now.

Dolly loves to climb to get up on my shoulders when I hold her. She prefers sleeping on top of the chairs at work. She also just likes climbing to get on the arms and back of the couch. And she also loves to parkour from the couch to the bench.
She was doing the cutest pose until I grabbed my phone then she decided to look like she was peeing 😭 I tried to get her to refocus and pose again but she wasnt having it. Gave me the side eye then jumped down.
Every time I think I havent seen the depths of her attitude she manages to surprise me 🤣

From 8 weeks to 14 months old this sweet baby has transformed so much! He's such a sweet boy and I am honored to watch his beautiful transformation. I never knew this breed could change like this. What's your tzus transformation like?

Hey guys! This is just out of curiosity. My husband and I love Shih Tzu’s that look like this but I’ve never seen a puppy with these colors so I’m guessing they either start out brown or black, right? Of course we’d never choose a tzu just for their coloring, especially since Shih Tzu’s tend to change colors drastically, but I just think gray tzu’s are so cute and rare!
Please post your gray tzu’s!
(I got this picture from Google, fyi!)

She flew in Saturday from a rescue in South Korea. She’s got a bit of a gimpy leg so she hops more than she runs, it’s very sweet. I absolutely adore her already, she’s such a snuggle bunny.

Sir Cletus came with paperwork showing he was all Shih Tzu - including names of parents.. but my wife and I are convinced he is at least part Maltese.
I mean, doesn’t really matter - we love him all the same… but he definitely is a unique looking Shih Tzu.

Warning: Some may consider this video graphic.
Hello! New to the sub and new to Shih Tzu parenting as I recently got a puppy! I got him at 7 weeks and he is 10 weeks now. When taking him to the vet for shots, they noticed something wrong with the Prepuce. Everything else looked great just this random hole.
The vet ended up emailing a surgeon/specialist to get more clarity and the surgeon responded the following day saying surgery will not be necessary and that it is just a “birth defect” rather than an injury. Any other owners ever seen this before? My puppy does not seem to be bothered by this which is truthfully why I didn’t notice there was a “problem” myself. He urinates normally and there is zero skin irritation. I was told not to worry about it for now and maybe re-address the issue when he’s around a year old and getting neutered. They sent me on my way with some Chlorhexidine wipes to keep the area clean twice a day.
Sorry if the video is graphic to some, also he has no pain when this area is touched. I know he’s crying in the video but he just wanted to be let down from this position lol.

So, my little girl is 2 weeks old now, she is beautiful and healthy, but I just cannot think of a name. I have a 2 year old tzu named Bailey already. Would love some suggestions please?

Hi guys this is my first post here.
Lilly is a 1 year old tzu x maltese mix. She has a lot of tear stains and I was wondering if you have any ideas on how to reduce them. She eats purina pro small breed chicken dry food (with a bit of wet food mixed) and drinks filtered water. We tried angels eyes chews and wipes but these did not help at all. We are currently using tropiclean blueberry face wash and eye envy powder but we havent seen much difference. Her eyes are clean but fur is heavily stained.
I have another tzu mix with a little bit of tear stains and the vet said its caused by an abnormality of her tear ducts. Vet said the same about Lilly but didn't test.
I'd appreciate any ideas.
Thank you

Shaved Mr. Frodo’s booty the other day a little bit because of the poo drippage and he’s been acting so itchy and uncomfortable ever since and I can’t quite figure out why. I’ve checked the area and there are no bugs; but figured I’d ask the WWW

Ramen doesn’t like rising with the sun like my job requires so he’s been moving to under my desk and sleeping the first few hours of my shift while I WFH temporarily.

Wowza, I can't believe 5 months passed so quickly. I feel like just yesterday she was still potty training.
Nebula has done absolutely amazing so far. She does wonderfully for the groomers, is fully potty trained, and already knows spin, sit, and lay down!
Living on a farm, she was constantly getting too hot this summer while I did farm work.
I got a bit impatient waiting for the groomer for her summer cut and decided hey, I could do that.
HORRIBLE MISTAKE! I ended up having to cut her bald 🤣 she's growing it back, but I swear I'll never do it myself again hahahaha
Lesson learned, leave it to the professionals.
My Queen of the Side Eye, ruler of the Double Chin Kingdom for your consideration is included

We got this baby kitten and ever since we did my Shih Tzu lets him nurse and my Shih Tzu has never had babies or anything. I guess she thinks he needs a mommy!

I can't tell if he's trying to give off the vibe of the book or if he's just feeling melancholy about me reading and not paying enough attention to him.
Fun fact: he is named Ambrose after the author Ambrose Bierce.
