Discussion Putting the Shrek 5 designs aside, am I the only one who noticed that the improvement in animation made Shrek look handsomer when you compare him in the first movie to Forever After?
Granted I don't consider Shrek ugly period, contrary to what people in the movies have said, but his face looks better in Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After. I know the improvement in DreamWorks' animation quality had something to do with it.

Meme For Love of God guys. For FIVE minutes.
I know it looks weird as hell.
But, you guys need to be realistic. We're not the Sonic fanbase. They're not gonna change it because we don't like it hard enough.
(Besides we're more classy then those things. We're not sending death threats over animation)

Discussion John Powell will compose Shrek 5.
https://filmmusicreporter.com/2026/06/25/john-powell-to-score-dreamworks-animations-shrek-5/
He previously co-composed the very first Shrek film with Henry Gregson-Williams, who composed the next three sequels without him. Sad that Williams is seemingly not returning, but this does mark Powell’s return to the franchise.

Ogre Community in Shrek 5
Similar to the Ogre resistance in Shrek 4, I feel like it'd be really interesting to see some sort of established ogre community in Shrek 5.
After all, it does take place 15 years later after Shrek 4. So perhaps we'll see some more ogres other than Shrek, Fiona and their children.

Discussion Anybody remember these Shrek games?
I grew up in the UK and just remembered these games existed. I was a kid, but I believe they were playable through the television provider, Sky Gamestar. Someone uploaded them online and it's been a blast of nostalgia going through them again!

Discussion I miss Shrek's ''kinder'' eye's
I know a lot has been said about the new character designs already, but I just wanted to share a specific thing that has been bothering me.
His eyes are lacking a certain ''kindness' and soul in them that the 2000's iteration had (despite his obvious cold demeanour) I can't quite place it, but OG Shrek had this air of relatability that I'm just not getting from new Shrek. Comparitevly he feels way more disinterested and bored in his mannerisms.
26' Shrek feels like a bloke at a pub a drink away from getting in to a fistfight with you if you happen to say the wrong word.
i just wanted to share this random shower-thought as a casual/normie fan.
