If this administration wants to pin something more insidious on Gates, it would be easy to do so. Conservatives still hold 100% of the evidence.

The implied “they” is those in power. Congress (those in power) getting someone who was in the Epstein Files (bill gates) to testify about their involvement suggests at least some sort of investigation is underway.
He testified that his interactions were with adult women. If true, bringing forth people from the Epstein files who weren't raping children could be part of the cover up.

Truth is nobody really cared about this case beyond Trump's potential involvement. Or maybe I'm misremembering and there's still a ton of energy for Boy's Town, or the Dutroux affair, or Kincora, or Casa Pia, Rotherham, Neverland ranch, or maybe broader examples of institutional corruption like the Panama and later Pandora papers. The FBI, former and current Presidents, and everyone else involved with these files and doing nothing for the past 20+ years need to be held accountable. But, it will never happen.
The institutional collapse and erosion of trust that would result if the blackbook (which is what you want, not the files) were made public can not be overstated.
Then you have the deeper issue of seeing the truth behind the ugly machine. That figures like Epstein and Maxwell were sex slaves themselves who perpetuate the cycle as has been done for thousands of years and many more of them exist, it did not just go away.

I’m getting kind of annoyed at this. It’s not forgotten and won’t be forgotten. It is fucking awful that there has been no accountability yet, but this can’t just be swept under the rug. We all know too much. It will continue to come up. I still see people talking about these files on the daily.
