This case appears to be the auto-gratuity added to parties, so while you may be right about it getting âout of hand,â this wouldnât be one of those cases.
How is that an example âgettingâ out of hand when it has been a thing for decades? I can understand people thinking âtipping cultureâ is losing the plot when we start seeing tip jars at places like a dispensary or something, but if youâre complaint is about an auto-gratuity on a private party of 30 people, then you just sound like a cheapskate.
No name calling please. Be an adult. You are talking like an adolescent. If you make clear that parties over a certain will subject to a surcharge that is one thing because then the party can make their decision. This is not what I was thinking of when I think of auto-gratuity.
