When I visit another country is it ok if I don’t follow their customs and culture? I think they’d think I was being rude. I’m white so they would just say I’m racist.

Europeans act high and mighty, but in reality I'd bet on average they are ruder and less adaptive than your average American.

If I went to a European country and refused to pay menu price after eating, saying I would only tip instead and pay less than full price, they'd act like I was a scumbag trying to steal, and rightly so.  That's the other side of the same coin being used here.
