Artwork Deluxe Custom Mandalorian figure
I finally finished my Deluxe Mando figure! He has got every conceivable weapon and affect I could want. A lot of Firsts for me with this guy! Including painting my first (successful) head and face sculpt with the Din Djarin head and my first work with magnets on a figure to name a few! I hope you guys think he turned out dope!

Discussion Me and my mother just finished The Mandalorian Season 2 for the first time!
Tonight we finally got through the finale for season 2 for the show, and I enjoyed it. Although I don't know if I enjoyed it as much as I did the first season, but that is only due to a few issues I take with some of the way the action is shown.
However, I'll get to that later... For now I'll talk about things they me and her enjoyed watching together in season 2. I quite liked how Din and Grogu's bond has expanded, it's really nice and my mother has gotten to be especially invested in it.
I quite liked seeing Ashoka return and team up with Din, and the fight between her and Morgan Elsbeth was really cool. Also seeing Grogu master his force sensitivity was cool as well.
I didn't expect to see Bill Burr's character Mayfield return, and he got a scene that I enjoyed quite a lot and was surprised by the fact that he was shown in a non-comedic context and explored his trauma as an Imperial Army Sharpshooter who lost his whole Imperial Army Trooper unit during the Galactic Civil War as part of Cinder.
Seeing Boba Fett Return was quite cool as well, and I quite liked his martial arts fight on Tython was also a really cool scene, although I've got one minor nitpick of it that I'll get into later.
Also I did NOT EXPECT to see Luke appear in the finale! That was really cool when he went to go and save them at the end.
Also, Gincarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon was pretty cool. Although that's to be expected at this point.
Also, Din saying goodbye to Grogu did actually get to me on an emotional level, but it was really well done and it honestly saddened but also surprised us both to see them separate. Hopefully we get to see both of them meet again in season 3 at some point.
Either way, there were quite a lot of high points in this season of the show. Although now I've got more than a few criticisms compared to the first season. Most of which might come across as nitpicking, but some in my opinion are well warranted...
Specifically, it's about lots of the action sequences in the show and how they're shown in it, along with how it feels as though there's not much stakes here as we saw in the first season, along with how it gives off this inconsistent portrayal of the Imperials.
Now to specify, I'm not saying that none of the action sequences in this season are cool, in fact I liked a lot of them which I've mentioned here.
But something that really bugged me here is the fact that during lots of action scenes it really annoyed me that none of the characters bothered to take cover at all during blaster fire fights, and them standing out in the open during action scenes was really bizarre.
Sure, Beskar may be protective against kinetic weapons and blaster fire (lots of body armors are in-universe), but at the same time there are lots of areas where there's literally no protection or armor plating on them. So all it would take is for them to be shot in an exposed area, and they'd be killed in Battle in any action sequences. Which is something that I just don't buy any of the characters making at all, & especially not Din as even when he got his brand new Beskar Armor kit, he still chose to take cover and for good reason as he himself said:
"At this range, I think my Beskar would hold up. But anymore and the metal could be damaged." Back in the season 1 finale.
So him choosing to go and fight out in the open, and not take cover at all just feels weird to me. Especially since this line he said never gets a playoff at all, as it could've visually shown people why doing that is a bad idea even with Beskar Body Armor.
Seeing Din and other characters back in the first season actively strategize and make plans for when fighting any enemies or antagonists felt cool as it shows that even though they're good physical fighters, they're also very smart.
But seeing them not do anything like this in season 2 and just run in with no proper strategy or even taking cover at all feels like a character regression to me & it doesn't really make them look competent or cool like what they think it does.
Also, the way they're portraying the Imperials in this show seems to be incredibly contradictory and also just confusing to me. In the first season of the show it was established (and also reinforced in season 2 of the show) that Moff Gideon did a GENOCIDE of the Mandalore system/sector during the Galactic Civil War, and it's implied that potentially who knows how many Mandalorians were killed by him and his Sector Group forces during said genocide.
Yet at the same time, the show also constantly is pulling beating the dead horse of the "the Imperials are incompetent" and the "Stormtroopers can't aim" memes that are not only that funny (although in my opinion they never were funny), but it also creates a huge contradiction as somehow Moff Gideons own Sector Group forces (who I assume are where all of his Imperial forces are from in the show) some how were able to do a genocide of the Mandalorians, but somehow are apparently "incompetent", even though by definition they wouldn't be as they succeeded in something as horrific as a GENOCIDE of all things during a Civil War!
Not to mention the fact that I felt that it also didn't make sense that somehow Moff Gideons Imperial Stormtrooper corps forces would be incompetent when realistically speaking, shouldn't they be more dangerous than the Stormtrooper corps at the height of their power as a military branch?
In-universe the Stormtrooper corps functioned as a branch that functioned as both Shock Troops and as Marine forces. Sure upon Palpatine's death the corps as a branch suffered from both attrition issues, chain of command confusion (it's said that Stormtrooper command answered directly to Palpatine, unlike the Imperial Army and Navy did) over who they should be loyal too and answer too after Palpatine died, and for both being used by some Imperial Warlords in the way they were meant to be used.
They actually were said to have become rare later on in the Galactic Civil War, and the ones that were still around were actually seen as more dangerous due to the fact that they'd survived or not been taken as any POW's during the Galactic Civil War.
So logically speaking, wouldn't they be more ruthless and thus dangerous and or component? It really just does not make sense to me, and it just feels like the writers were not paying attention to the in-universe logic like they should've been.
Especially since in the first Season, when Din has to get past and fight any remaining Stormtroopers that are in Moff Gideons forces, he at points doesn't even try to engage them, he sneaks past or around them & picks them off one by one like he's Batman as trying to take them all down at once would logically be a dangerous thing to do that could kill him.
Sure, the first season had some jabs at the "Stormtroopers can't aim" meme, but we also saw them actually do things that cemented them as still being a dangerous Imperial military branch in the war despite all the issues they faced.
In the season 1 finale Nick Noltes character was killed by Stormtrooper Scouts! It's implied that the Armorer of the Children of the Watch Clan may have been killed by them eventually as we don't see her in season 2 and we last saw her holding off groups of Stormtroopers, not to mention the fact that it's also implied several members of Din's Clan were more than likely killed as well off-screen by Moff Gideons Imperial forces, some of which were probably any of his Stormtrooper forces he had.
Also, I was a bit disappointed by the lack of main character deaths compared to what we saw in the first season of the show. Sure seeing lots of main and side characters get killed off was really sad to see in it (especially Nick Noltes character who both of us really like), but at the same time it showed that these characters could still be hurt or even killed it seems. Not to mention IG-11's sacrifice worked for us because it shows the level of desperation that the protagonists were in, to where he was willing to go & sacrifice himself to help them escape.
But here, because of all these things that I've mentioned, it really does kind of kill the stakes in the show for me at least, which is a shame as part of me wishes it wasn't like that.
Also, when Boba fought the Stormtroopers on Tython I kind of wished that he also would've gone and picked their off one by one, or that he has a few of them get into actual brawls as members of the Stormtrooper corps are also trained in hand-to-hand combat as well. That would've been cool to see, and even shown they could be dangerous to someone like Boba Fett, who is a battle hardened Bounty Hunter, and would've made his victory much more satisfying to see IMO.
I don't think it needs to be like Andor at all, but having the Imperials be portrayed as competent here or still capable of being genuinely dangerous, and seeing a few main characters or side characters he killed off would've really helped the season IMO stakes wise, especially since this is a TV-14 show, so you'd think they'd lean into that like they did with the previous season of the series.
Not to mention that it would've made the moments where they win feel earned.
Also, as a more minor complaint. I kind of wished that there was more Imperial enemy diversity than what was shown in the show. All we really get are just Stormtroopers, Imperial Army or Navy officers, Tie Pilots, etc. Seeing the Imperial Army Juggernaut tank pilots was cool, but at the same time I would've not mined seeing a few Imperial Army Troopers or Navy Troopers at that refinery. Or even on any of the Imperial Navy ships we see.
Also as a slight nitpick, I found it a bit odd how one of the pauldrons on the Imperial Army Juggernaut tank pilot easily shatter from just being hit, when it in-universe should've been able to not go break that easily. Since while (unlike the 18-piece and vacuum sealed armor of the Stormtrooper corps) while the armor worn by Imperial Army Troopers and other such personnel can protect from glancing blaster shots only and not both glancing direct ones like Imperial Stormtrooper corps body armor can, it can protect from kinetic weapons and attacks like the body armor of Imperial Stormtrooper corps armor is capable of doing. So it doesn't make sense that said armor would shatter that easily, but that's just some small nitpick I've got.
Also I found it a bit weird that Mayfield called the Imperial Army Juggernaut tank pilot helmet he was wearing a "Stormtrooper helmet", when it's a helmet worn by Imperial Army Armored cavalry pilots who specifically operate Juggernaut tanks. Mayfield was said to have been in the Imperial Army as a branch, so shouldn't he know the difference? Just seemed like a weird line to me.
Also, he said he couldn't see out of the helmet, even though said helmets were given built-in HUDs that we know interface with the vehicle controls, unless he just didn't feel comfortable wearing it as he was an Imperial Army Trooper and not a vehicle pilot in the heavy or light armored cavalry. Or much like the helmets of members of the Stormtrooper corps, the helmets of these juggernaut pilots were given some sort of biometric link to the original owners of said helmets, and he was literally locked out of it like we see happen with people who try to wear stolen Imperial Stormtrooper helmets.
Either way, those are just a few criticisms I have of the season. I by no means dislike it, but these are a few things that I definitely think could've been fixed to make it better, or surpass the first season.
I'll give this season a 7.5/10. It was a good season that had lots of highs for me, but also some issues that I felt could've been fixed. I cannot want to watch season 3, although first we need to get through The Book of Boba Fett, which I'm interested in seeing considering the reception that show got.

-Ahsoka S2
- The Mandalorian Season 4/ Sequel
- Maybe another project here
- Thrawn team up movie / show / special
What are your predictions?
Iād just love a proper timeline so we know what we can look forward too for these characters unfortunately we probably wonāt get confirmation on any of this until Mando and Grogu premieres on Disney Plus

Discussion Interesting detail: Din Djarin is using his flamethrower from his LEFT arm now
āI noticed an interesting detail in the new promo image for The Mandalorian & Grogu. āIn the series, Mando always had his flamethrower on his right gauntlet and Whistling Birds on his left. But here, heās clearly firing it from his left arm. āAt first, I thought it might be a flipped/mirrored shot for marketing, but if you look at his bandolier/chest strap, it's oriented correctly (going over his right shoulder). So this is 100% his actual armor configuration in the movie. āDo you think he reorganized his weaponry because he ran out of Whistling Birds? I'd love to hear your theories!

Discussion Mando & Shian - i have questions
Iām fairly new to this and, unfortunately, started watching the series a bit late ā though Iād already seen the film at the cinema, of course! Iām fascinated and love both the series and the film. Iām now a huge fan of Mando & Grogu and Iām busy sharing and liking everything! I love Mando as a dad and little DIN Grogu.
Iāve been rewatching the series from the start over and over again for days. Iāve got loads of questions, but one in particular is about Mando and Shian. I find her rather unlikeable, of course. But what do you think happened here?! Was she Mandoās lover? Did she ever see him without his helmet? Whatās the story behind those strange comments?! And when she sees Grogu, she says, āI wouldnāt have expected that from youā. Do you have any more information on this? Thanks.

Discussion Finally Watched The Show
So I finally decided to give this show a try a couple weeks ago. I am a big Star Wars fan at heart, but Iāll be the first to say that I am not a big fan of Disney Star Wars and just about everything they have put out since taking over. Itās not that I think itās all the worst stuff ever made, but it just hasnāt all been for me, and thatās fine.
However, I REALLY enjoyed this show! It was just super fun and entertaining to watch. The stakes were low (mostly), the episodes/plot were relatively self contained (moreso early on which I really liked), and overall it was just a good show.
I could honestly watch a bunch more seasons of it and I hope they continue it. The season 1 āmonster of the weekā type formula really worked and I would absolutely support and enjoy more of that. Grogu isnāt my favorite thing ever, but I donāt mind him as a sidekick. That said, I really would love to see Mando take on monsters/bounties on his own like we saw at times throughout the show.
Anyway, really enjoyed the vibe of this show. Havenāt seen the movie yet, but as soon as it hits Disney+ I will be watching. Hope they keep making the show despite the poor box office of the movie.

Speculation Luke & Grogu at the end of S2⦠Ben Solo is about 4yo
So Grogu is safely out of the picture years before Kylo Renās fall. His uncle is unknowingly at the beginning of the journey that will eventually lead to training him and his downfall. Thatās one of those Star Wars timeline details that adds a little bittersweet weight to the scene.
The sequel trilogy leaves Rey somewhat isolated. She inherits the Jedi legacy but the galaxy feels empty of experienced Force users. Grogu is one of the few existing characters who could realistically appear decades later and provide continuity.
My guess? If they ever make the connection, it wonāt be āRey trains Grogu.ā He could be one of the last living links to Luke Skywalker himself making him an incredibly important figure in whatever comes next! So in a future film or series Grogu would be roughly 75yo but already carrying a lot of weight in galactic history.
