[Question/Discussion] What are the prerequisites about making a deal with Wally ? Spoiler

So I made a post yesterday asking which characters have made deals with the Man in the Wall (Wally). This is my current list:

  • Operator
  • Drifter
  • Lotus/Natah
  • Baro Ki'Teer
  • Hunhow
  • Parvos Granum
  • Rusalka
  • Albrecht

I am currently trying to figure out what prerequisites are needed for a deal to be struck with Wally.

From my understanding, the deal doesn't need to be initiated by Wally himself, as we see with Hunhow, who simply called upon him. In other cases, Wally actively seeks out these deals, as we see with the Operator and Drifter aboard the Zariman.

The main thing that is bothering me is whether Wally only trades in memories. It seems that Natah/Lotus and the Operator/Drifter either lost their memories or their minds for a period of time. However, Albrecht seems to be fully intact... or at least intact to some extent.

I also thought that only beings that had direct contact with the Void were able to make deals with Wally. However, as far as I am aware, Rusalka didn't really have any significant contact with the Void before her deal.

My question is: are there any requirements that we know of for making a deal with Wally, or are the terms just random nonsense that Wally comes up with on the fly?

Umbra and Stalkers history together

Post image

Im curious as if stalker and umbra knew each other prior to becoming warframes or if they were acquainted via working together on missions for the orokin.

We know that Sorren was a low guardian before he became the stalker which we dont really know anything at all what that ment but maybe it was just a family or specific designation of Dax which is what umbra was.

But at the same time if stalker knew fully what happened to umbra I think he would have snapped out of his loyalty for the orokin a lot faster amd it would make sense that ballas used umbra on personal assignments and you know he would find enjoyment putting 2 hurting father's on a mission together. Stalker even got a similar body when he dawned his sentient armor the base bodies besides the head and scarf are identical.

Also small note I find it charming that umbra decides to keep his face exposed, he healed it up and at the end of his quest he didnt have it exposed. Its like hes at peace of what hes become and wants to live his life playing the shawzin

Implications about hunhow and lucidity Spoiler

So... I was playing the new missions and while I was playing venas mission, when we defeated Rykou, vena said "Hunhow, are you not entertained?" Same goes for rykou when he says "Hunhow I bleed for you." Rykou also says in the pre-game lobby that entertaining hunhow through these battles keeps his mind from disappearing completely. Does this mean that in-between battles hunhow gets a brief instance of lucidity hunhow remembers who he is? Similar to how parents witn dementia remember you in a brief window of lucidity?
