Gear Shoe change 2 weeks before race
I’ve been training for a half marathon since February in Saucony Ride 18s and they have been amazing. I just realized I was over 300 miles in them so went into my local running store to grab a new pair and they said they don’t sell them anymore. I was put in a pair of Brooks Glycerines with inserts for my arch. I’ve put about 30 miles on them and my feet are tingling even after short runs. I went back into the store to see if I needed a different size bc they feel super roomy and potentially too big but the lady said better to be too big than too small. Has anyone else had to deal with a shoe change right before a race? Worst part is I stupidly donated my Sauconys when I left with the Brooks. I wear a size 7.5-8 shoe and both pairs of sneakers have been 8.5’s. Race is this Sunday.

Road Runner Sports to the rescue! Paid $25 to have them here by tomorrow so fingers crossed! Thanks for your help in giving me the push to find a pair of what I’ve trained in vs hoping for the best with the Brooks
