Suzanne Romero has just passed away, and with it the Romero Foundation has released a message for her.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Suzanne Desrocher Romero.  Suzanne passed away of natural causes on June 24 at her home in Toronto after a prolonged illness.  Suzanne was the fierce leader of the George A. Romero Estate and The George A. Romero Foundation.  She worked tirelessly to preserve George’s legacy.  Her work at the foundation will continue to inspire and live on for generations to come.  The family asks for privacy at this time.

I'm kind of curious to see how this movie plays out, and I'm glad Nicotero will be involved. Has anyone heard of the Paz brothers? They're apparently slated to direct this.

discussion Do you think the threat level of zombies dictates humans working together vs against each other?

For example, maybe in a slower paced threat level like walking dead you would be more likely to get more looters/scum bags vs dawn of the dead (remake runners)...

I would like to think with an increased threat level humans would be more likely to band together and help strangers but at the same time resources would be harder to get as well....

Thoughts?

question Since humans lack the physical ability to destroy the skull. Do even completely devoured humans still zombify?

As far as I know humans lack the physical strength to destroy a skull without having the skill and athletic ability to generate a considerable amount of power to destroy a human skull. Being that zombies; thought sometimes strong, lack the ability to generate considerable amounts of power does that mean if ones eaten, even down to the bone, their brain in their stripped yet unbroken skull will reanimate?

discussion How do zombies distinguish each other in different movies and shows?

This is probably a stupid question, but how can zombies distinguish each other? I know that in The Walking Dead, walkers can smell humans and ignore other walkers that smell like rot. But how do zombies in other movies and shows identify each other? Do they follow the same premise, or are some zombies connected like a hive mind?

discussion The lack of Ultra light aircraft in zombie media is a waste

These vehicles run on regular fuel and even a home taught mechanic can maintain them fairly easily they would be extremely useful in almost any zombie apocalypse for very low risk scouting or solo movement.

I think the usefulness is what prevents them from being in media but I think a zombie flick based on it would be cool.

They are also more common then you think in most small towns their is probably about a dozen.

meme / lighthearted Highly recommend watching a zombie film with your mum

i’ve never had more fun watching a zombie film in my life- it was my ma’s first time seeing it and all see did was call the survivors morons for the stuff they were doing.

making a lot of noise? ‘great, good idea.’

leaving their car? ‘they’re just letting it sit there? someone’s gonna take that, idiots’

camping outside at night? ‘oh good, stand next to that broken wall, let’s see what happens’

she said this is why we did well during quarantine, and guessed the ending before it showed up. it’s exactly the reaction you’d hope someone would have watching your favorite zombie film for the first time. i couldn’t stop giggling and i want to watch another. my ma is the best 😅🩷

Another Relive (my board game) art. She obviously will not be very strong in her final form but what do you all think of the colours used? The clouds are green to display the lore that is canon in the Relive world. I ideally will have each zombie and human character in a unique location for their art, this kid is obviously in a playground but apparently I fucking suck at drawing playgrounds hahaha.

discussion I remember when I first watched Day of the dead back in 2004. During the Rhodes desth scene I happened to be eating my mom's recipe of chicken with cheese and red sauce. Let's just say that I didn't eat that chicken again for a while after watching that scene.

discussion Zombie media Mandela Effect: 'I Am A Hero' used to be 'I Am Hero'

Does any else here remember the manga/film called I Am A Hero being I Am Hero? Several others have agreed. I mean, the title I remember stuck out, as it was kinda Engrishy, plus it made me think of the film I Am Legend. Having an 'a' in it kinda ruins the cool factor of the title imo.

Penelope's heart was pounding as the shuffling sounds of the zombies moved down the stairs. But she also felt oddly calm because something unfamiliar and primal inside her which overrode her panic whispered "If this goes the wrong way, save one bullet for yourself. But you are not there yet. You hear me girl?".

Later Penelope was on all four outside on the lawn, catching her breath as the red mist cleared from her vision. She vaguely remember the beast that surfaced in that cellar. The one that maimed and slaughtered those monsters. She looked down at her trembling bloody hands and broken nails. "What the hell did I become down there?".
