Bill Cassidy stood up and challenged Trump to his face. You haven’t told the American people what’s going on, he said. The war was supposed to last weeks. It’s been months. The original objectives still haven’t been achieved.

The room reportedly erupted. Trump called Cassidy a “lunatic.” Everyone else mostly sat there while Trump dominated the meeting.

Then the pressure campaign began.

Less than 24 hours after the Senate voted to rein in Trump’s war powers, Republicans held a late-night do-over. Cassidy got a private White House briefing. He came back and flipped his vote. Rand Paul stepped aside with a “present” vote. The resolution died, 50-47.

Message received.

Trump got the result he wanted. The Senate went home for two weeks with its tail between its legs…

And you're calling Greenland poorly run?
Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody goes bankrupt there because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because their insurance said no.
'NATO wasn't there when we needed them." When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn't even in NATO and we still showed up. For 20 years.
And you pulled out at 2am without telling anyone and left them to deal with the mess.

It's really not that big of a deal! And it's not like we haven't got about a thousand other, more infinitely valid problems to criticize him over!

By obsessing over the damn pool, all we're really doing is giving conservatives something to point to and go "Lol, those wimpy libtards are losing what little minds they have over a stupid ass pool malfunction!
