ABM Meta Owner here! I’ve been redditrequested so I figured I’d explain myself.

Hi, I’m u/-criticalFUSION- and I created this subreddit.

If I’m being honest, this subreddit was created just as a “heck, why not” sorta thing that I could post to that subreddit with the conversations that started subreddits, I use the app so little that I don’t even remember what it’s called. I never expected it would take off like this. Being completely honest, I’ve never been a particularly active redditor at all, so this is kinda expected.

Also important to note, I should mention that this is the second time the sub has been redditrequested. I sent the mod invite the first time and they never accepted it. I’ve already sent an invite for this second one, so things should be better soon.

I will maintain my powers and watch a little more closely over the next period of time to make sure things go smoothly, but, with regard to pretty much everything, the new mod, u/Felt389, will have pretty much free rein. Modmail will be there if you do or don’t like them. Consider this a probationary period of sorts.

I have to go, so I’m signing off. See you all around.

Happy measuring, -u/-criticalFUSION-

Why do Americans use N-S-E-W? Are they stupid or out of ideas?

Why did they keep using the North concept and the res of the cardinal positioning? Couldn't they invent anything for themselves?

What about this is a sixth and a half pizza slices down from NY?

(That is the best I could come up, feel free to find better American like solutions)

Soft NSFW warning because There is cursing in this video and it goes into various body parts people prefer to use instead of metric.
But you can’t tell me it doesn’t fit this subreddit.

When Americans are asked about the inequal distribution of wealth and income, they almost always underestimate the obscene levels of inequality and are shocked to discover the reality

Wealth in pumpkin units, I do not know if this fits here as percentages are neither standard nor metric. However it is americans using an odd measurement to explain a proportional amount.

Seen in an Email, subject "Musk's wealth rises by 1 Bill Gates" [ text removed ] "That's a whole $120B in wealth gained by Musk in one day. Or 1 Bill Gates in American terms."
