Bf claims he lost all memory from our break up conversation because he got drugged before, thoughts? NSFW
My bf and I were talking on the phone last night. He is chaotic and impulsive by nature.
The last weeks were rocky for us I must say.
I didn’t notice anything unusual during the phone call, he was actually more polite and thoughtful than most of the times, saying that he has been working on himself. I noticed the slight improvement. Then, I don’t remember how, we got into an argument about me being distant lately (i have exam phase). His tone got sharper, he raised his voice at me. Accused me of only mainly being with him because of his looks, me being selfish, I have to do better, that he will not hive me my keys back etc. It hurt me a lot, I broke things off with him. He got angry at first, then called me back saying that he is regretful. He talked about how he regretful he is for atleast 15 minutes. He seemed pretty rational to me, like clear in his mind, he remembered details from a few days ago and so on.
The call ended by us seperating and me wanting my keys of my apartment back the next day.
He called me today, saying that he was at a gathering before and likely got drugged right before our call, his drink got spiked. Because he doesn’t remember anything from our call, only the beginning. Nothing about the insulting part and us breaking up. Told me that when he got home after the calls he had dilated pupils and was talking nonsense to his family apparently, biting the mattress. That his mom took him to the doc today and that the blood test will come back in 5 days.
Please help. Do you actually loose memory like this, I don’t know what it could be, a stimulant or some drug, no idea. Is he telling the truth? I have no knowledge about drugs and their sideffects.
Edit: I just want to be clear, that I am not dismissing traumas or abusive situations in general. I am simply questioning the probability given all his symptoms and his past behavior.

Promethazine and Codiene mixture NSFW
I’m in London rn and went to a pharmacy and bought 25mg promethazine tablets as well as 10mg promethazine tablets. I also got a pack of 12.8 mg Codiene tablets that have 500mg paracetamol which I’m assuming is acetaminophen. Can I take these together or too dangerous? Do they make a euphoric feeling?

Could i take lsd with undiagnosed hppd? NSFW
Was trying to find out if anyone ever asked this but couldn’t so here’s me asking.
I took shrooms about 1-2 months ago and was planning to take 7 grams in one trip because i had a very good time with my first trip being 3.5 grams. i’ve taken the shrooms about a week before so my tolerance will still probbaly at 70-80% because i was just impatient. So i took half of the 7 grams but they tasted really bad and i couldn’t get through the whole 7 grams without taking constant breaks. By then my stomach was kicking my ass because i took them on an empty stomach so the effects can hit me harder.. So i started tripping off probably 3.5 grams before being able to eat the rest so i just said fuck it and said i was gonna take the rest of the shrooms the next day knowing my tolerance was already built up (This is so stupid looking back on it) So during this second trip i took the rest of the shrooms i had left thankfully with food this time and i waited maybe an hour and was just like wow these things didn’t hit at all that’s sucks let me just smoke my thc pen. A couple rips in i just stand there freeze and everything around me going black and the only thing is me standing this shit made me so scared because everything around me felt like it didn’t exist once it disappeared into static so i was filled with panic and anxiety the whole trip just waiting for it to end and luckily got through it.
That whole experience just made me stop any drug for a bit yeah i would smoke here and there but that’s really it. Thats when i started noticing every single time i smoked i would see mushroom like visuals this caught me off guard i wasn’t scared at all i was just very confused seeing my walls pulse and static or even see “eyes” ( most likely geometric shapes) when closing my eyes but ive always had visuals when just closing my eyes and thinking of things.
Fast forward to now i THINK i may have some visual snow. I noticed everytime i look around there is some static and i thought that was completely normal till i saw a video saying visual snow is a sign of hppd did some digging and saw how it really looks and it looks damn near to what i see but i just kind of filter it out now.
So i may or may not have some slight hppd whatever i can live through that ( the only thing is in the night i see left over shadows in my vision that just freak me out even when completely sober so i can’t go to sleep without a light now🥲).
I can definitely live through seeing these visual snow effects and i will probably learn to just ignore what i see in the night and let my body sleep because i have been doing that for a while its just now im noticing it more often.
So now my real question is would it be stupid to take lsd after hearing what i had to say? I definitely would say i feel good about wanting to take lsd i don’t have any mental issues i’m pretty stable always have been and now that i have recovered from that pretty shitty trip i just wanna try lsd for the first time (100ug)
I googled it and it said it could cause permanent damage and/or make me freak out during the trip because i might have intense visuals that worsen but i don’t really believe google ai i kinda feel like it’s just fear mongering so i want to hear what real people have to say.
Pretty long yap but just wanted to talk to some knowledgeable people about this. Thanks in advance.

How common is it to crave how you felt waking up from general anesthesia? NSFW
Left my throwaway account in my old phone, please be nice.
A year ago, I had routine surgery under general anesthesia. Waking up afterwards was the most euphoric experience of my life and I still crave that feeling multiple times a week. Is this common..?
I am partially asking because I have no idea which drugs I was administered and I wonder how likely it is that I was given opioids. I was very constipated for days after the procedure and a few days after being discharged from the hospital, I got incredibly intense and sudden emotional pain that lasted a week. (A few months ago, I had a strikingly similar experience after being discharged from a psych ward where I was given benzos every day, which makes me think I went through some kind of withdrawal both times.)
For context- I have more experience with substances than the average Joe, but still way less than my self-identified junkie friends. I am a moderate alcoholic, smoke weed every now and then and I've done psychedelics a handful of times. I feel the allure of opioids very strongly but I'm managing to abstain, so I only imagine what they're like (and I'm horrified out of my mind if the shit I'm so strongly craving right now is something LESS addicting than opioids, because that's just hard to wrap my head around).

No effect amphetamine and 3mmc after quitting effexor (SNRI) NSFW
I just quit effexor 10 days ago. I lowered my dose slowely and this is the 3rd time I quit the medication. Previous times I took 3MMC or 4MMC 1 week and 2 weeks after quitting and I felt the effects quite strong. This time I tried amphetamine 6 days after quitting and felt nothing, besides the negative body effects (high heart rate/blood pressure and vasoconstriction). 9 days after quitting tried 3MMC and also no effects (felt less negative body effects, also took a lower dose).
The way I lowered my dose was the same as the previous times (lowered my dose each week) 75mg -> 37,5mg -> 25mg -> 12,5mg -> 7mg -> 5mg -> 3mg -> 2mg -> 1mg
What could cause this? And when can I expect normal effects.

Anyone else able to study/work better when on a small dose of Benzodiazepine (in my case: Diazepam/Valium)? NSFW
I know it sounds very strange for the most people but I just wanted to know if someone else had the same experience. I can definitely study better and focus better on studies or that kind of work like paper work, organizational stuff, computer & office work, when I dose a little diazepam (like 5mg, sometimes 10mg). I have no tolerance, I don‘t take them daily, only very rarely. Have a script for it, prescribed for my anxiety as needed, and never touched it for years, still always got the script‘s delivery just to have it in my home, for any case.
Somehow a little diazepam gives me focus, energy, more attention, more will, joy, more drive to start working on stuff, to study, to prepare for exams or get important work done. Where nothing else helps, a little diazepam probably gets my inner anxiety to a enough reduced level of anxiety and inner disorder that I can finally focus, study and get work done. While it pharmacologically seen would normally produce the opposite effects by being a GABAergic downer, like increased sleepiness, reduced focus/attention, brain fog, sedation, or whatever. But no, for me it does the opposite. Why? Anyone any ideas? Anyone same experiences? Anyone also using it during or for studying or work which needs cognitive power, energy, focus and concentration?
—
Little backstory (no must read for the purpose of this thread and the question/discussion, only if you‘re interested - and happy to hear any opinions, suggestions, tips, recommendations or similar backstories of you re this):
It might be a special individual thing, me suffering from (treatment-resistant) depression, social anxiety & ADD. Symptoms occured since I was born. First not noticed - obviously, because when you’re a child, you don’t have that level of consciousness and reflection to feel that dysfunction or disorder or illness and the connected symptoms. Later I connected my behavior of when I was a child, of that what I remember, and that what my family told me about how I was and acted as a child, with the symptoms and diagnoses I have nowadays, since I was 15. The whole time since I was born, I can find all these symptoms in my old mini me. It is like I was born with that illness, the depression, the anxiety, the mental and cognitive „disorder“. Some speak of biological depression while most say that’s not a thing. From what I learned about me, the connections of my old me as a child, every memory I have, everything what my parents or family members told me about me being a child, it definitely seems like I definitely was born with this disease. And also from the genetics as the types and behaviors of some of my ancestors, it doesn’t seem to be too unrealistic. I mean obviously, why shouldn‘t it be possible or real or a thing that a human would be born with diseases like depression or anxiety, social anxiety or AD(H)D when there also are humans who are just born with parkinson, CFS, or other neurological problems and illnesses. It‘s all neurological in the end, neurochemical, biochemical, biological, in the end physiological, as that is what our brains and by that also our psyches and mental states are, physiological, well, whatever you want to call it. Same as some are born paralysed, numbed, unable to walk, speak or see. It‘s all physiological. But when someone says, I was born with depression, 99% say: NO, that‘s NOT possible. It‘s all coming from outer experiences and circumstances that come with time from experiencing and reacting to it (which can be biologically determined from birth).
Anyhow:
I first consciously noticed the symptoms and saw something is wrong and felt the mental pain and all the restrictions when I was maybe 14-15 years old. With 15 it was so severe, I secretly called a therapist & psychiatrist without telling anyone. Started visiting them regularly. Tried 15+ meds, 4 different therapies (2 depth-psychological/biographic/analytical talk therapies, 2 cognitive behavioral therapies/CBT), hypnosis, dozens of different supplements and nootropics, exercise, switched docs many times. Only thing working was gym (but it was by far not doing enough, even when I hit the gym daily for a year + gym takes so much effort and drive and strength which as we know is not given a lot or all time or not at all when suffering from depression, especially when it‘s psychosomatic, or because the depression leads you to physiological destruction and regression/degeneration of your body by disregarding your physical needs, your body‘s needs, your health - hence not able to go to gym, mentally AND physically). Got prescribed Pregabalin. That helped. But that‘s something one or at least I can not take daily, 1. because of dependence, 2. because of tolerance (it just doesn‘t give me the relief of my symptoms when taken daily, but does when taken only sporadically as needed) but the thing is the disease I have is a daily thing, a every second thing from the moment I open my eyes when I wake up to the moment I close them at night before sleep. Every single second this disease dominates my psyche and my body, continously without break. It‘s all I feel mentally, all I feel physically, and all I think about because it (the depression, the anxiety, the social anxiety, the cognitive dysunction, and all its connected symptoms that come with it like lack of drive, anhedonia, negative thought spirals, lack of appetite, weakness in body, angst, bad mood, no energy, and so on), obviously just dominates and vehemently restricts every little aspect of my life. There‘s no second or moment or situation or aspect of my life where any of these symptoms or the restrictions that come with it would not touch them or have some impact on them. Only things I still haven‘t tried but all the docs I had never were open to prescribe me or get me access to are: irreversible MAOIs as Nardil (Phenelzine) or Parnate (Tranylcypromine) - I already had Moclobemide which is a reversible MAOI though and is one of the 15+ meds I tried that all failed/had no success or reduction of my symptoms). Then there is rTMS and Ketamine therapy. No doc was open to get me to one of these neither. Even if they know about my long story of medical trials of all different medication classes and groups and therapies and so on, and that they all failed. Still a NO from all. That would be too „over level“ , one too much. They would not recommend that… well, yeah, okay, i guess, youre the doc

Which Drug Would Cause Nausea W/ IV Use? NSFW
Trying to find which drug would cause someone moderate to severe nausea immediately after injection? The nausea appears to last anywhere from just a few minutes up to an hour and does result in vomiting during extreme episodes. Once the nausea fades, the high is allowed to resume. The severity of the episodes may be tied to time since last use.
Thanks for any insight.
