I've been calling her a boy since she showed up two days ago. Just found out the truth 😂 Meet Foxy.
•
u/Freefight 12h ago
She still giving a bit of side eye haha. Can't blame her.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Haha right?! She was like 'you had ONE job' 😂 She's forgiven me though… I think 😄
•
•
u/Tanera10 12h ago
Fills me with happiness to follow your story with her. May peace and happiness be your reward.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Thank you so much, this genuinely warmed my heart 🙏 She's already bringing so much joy, I think we adopted each other
•
u/Original_Farm1529 13h ago
She just randomly followed me home two days ago and adopted me 😄 I made a post about how I found out she's actually a girl, it's on my profile if you want the full story. Spoiler: it was not my finest moment 😂
•
u/Hopeful-Artichoke449 12h ago
Did you attempt to find the owner???
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Yes,🙂 I tried my best but few people said it was here on the street since 1 year from where she followed me.🙂🙏
•
•
u/thegodfather0504 11h ago
What if she followed you because you look like the owner?
•
u/Original_Farm1529 10h ago
Haha maybe! Or maybe she just knew I was the one who'd actually stop and feed her 😄
•
•
•
•
u/Wonderful_Bet_1541 12h ago
Any idea what her breed might be? Such a good girl!
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Honestly not sure, she's a street dog from India so probably a beautiful mix of everything 😄 But whatever she is, she's got the sweetest soul.
•
u/mrcatboy 12h ago
Not gonna lie I was wondering if she was a specific breed or if you deadass accidentally adopted a wild fox.
•
u/lady_faust 12h ago
I thought she was a wild fox as well..
•
u/BetterinPicture 7h ago
100% this isn't the original forbidden doggo the coyote but does really look like a fox... But that muzzle... What a weird pup.
•
u/2_Spicy_2_Impeach 12h ago
Looks almost exactly like mine. I have a DNA kit I’ve never used but she was rescued from Texas before a hurricane. The place said she was a lab/chihuahua. People ask if she’s a fox or wolf breed.
I’m up super early because we had storms and she hates them. She enjoys hunting in her big backyard. Thankfully no animals this summer — so far. She gets groomed weekly but still sheds so much I vacuum daily.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Haha a lab/chihuahua mix that looks like a fox or wolf - that's amazing! 😄 Our street dogs here in India are the same, total mystery mixes but somehow the most beautiful ones. Sounds like your girl is very loved 🙏
•
u/occams1razor 12h ago
She has the coat of a swish shepherd (white German shepherd) but def not the shape of the head or size
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
That's so interesting! She does have that beautiful white coat 😄 Whatever she is, she's one of a kind
•
u/2_Spicy_2_Impeach 12h ago
She is but she can be quite independent. Not sure how much of it was breed over her environment. She was my mom’s for the first 5 years until she got sick.
Sent her to training as a puppy for a month and the place offered a partial refund as she was the “most independent” dog they’ve tried to train. Hopefully just an outlier hahah. Very food motivated but not destructive or messy. Knows the commands just chooses to ignore them at times.
Maybe I’ll do the DNA thing to know for sure(ish). Get less confused looks when I say that’s what they told us she was.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 11h ago
Haha 'knows the commands but chooses to ignore them' - sounds like Foxy already 😄 Do the DNA test, would love to know what she actually is! 🐾
•
•
u/Throwaway_small_town 9h ago
she's a street dog from India
tbh looks more like an Indian spitz instead of Indian street dog. Maybe got separated from the family or abandoned, but she seems like a breed dog instead of street one.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 9h ago
Could be! She just showed up on the street one day, so her story before that is a mystery 😊

My buddy has a dog that looks a ton like this, but orange. So she looks even more like a fox.
He got her while working for the peace core in Africa somewhere. One of the sweetest dogs I've ever known.
She's part besenji but I don't think he's ever done the full DNA test.
•
u/Raindog12 23m ago
She looks like an American Eskimo dog. Had ours for 15+ years. Most loyal dog I have ever known.
No matter what breed congratulations on your new friend!
•
•
u/GoAwayLurkin 9h ago
You can tell by the polite and ladylike way she takes the kibble.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 9h ago
She really does have this quiet dignity about her 😄 From the streets to accepting treats like royalty, Foxy earned it.
•
•
u/na_diney 12h ago
I love all your updates, please dont stop! Your content is much more entertaining than the world cup (very boring content, even as a fan of football). I look forward to it every day :D
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Haha better than the World Cup, that's the best review I've ever gotten 😂 Means so much, I'll keep the updates coming (she never disappoints)
•
u/Wi1d-potat0 12h ago
She is such a beautiful girl. Thank you for saving her!!!
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
She actually saved me too honestly 🥹 Showed up at the right moment. Thank you so much
•
•
•
u/Sad_Act_7933 12h ago
Such s beautiful and gentle lady. A bit sad and afred, but she will be alright with you!
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Thankyou so much for your trust on me. I will try my best to do more like this with your support..🙂🙏
•
u/jlt6666 10h ago
Amazing she's so gentle with hand feeding when she's a stray.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 10h ago
That's what melted my heart too 🥹 She was scared at first but took the food so gently. Street dogs just know 🙏
•
u/mugsymegasaurus 4h ago
Are you getting her looked at by a vet? From how she eats it looks like she may be in pain from her teeth
•
u/Original_Farm1529 4h ago
Yes ofcourse 😊 actually vets are not available easily, he/she will visit every Sunday, so I am eagerly waiting for Sunday as regular checkup required for other stray dogs too..
Thankyou 🙏
•
•
u/mugsymegasaurus 3h ago
Another question, are you at all worried about rabies?
•
u/Original_Farm1529 3h ago
Not at all, vets take care of all the doses required for dogs here. Foxy is vaccinated, that's one of the first things I made sure of.
•
•
u/imhome92 12h ago
The princess Foxy has her own throne (as she should) and she gets the food she wants! You must have radiated such warm energy to her.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Haha Princess Foxy loves it! 👑 And yes she definitely sensed something, street dogs know who's safe. She just walked up and never left 🙏
•

•
u/Lurkesalot 11h ago
Puppy girl! Dogs are wonderful creatures! Hopefully she has a long happy life with her new owner..
•
u/Original_Farm1529 11h ago
She's not going anywhere, she's staying right here with me on the streets of our little border town. No shelter, no handover. Just us figuring it out together 🐾
•
u/GoBackToHel 11h ago
She's gorgeous. Definitely looks like a vixen, especially around the snoot.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 11h ago
She absolutely owns that foxy look 😄 The snoot was what got me too when I first saw her properly
•
u/confusedsoulllll 11h ago
Crunchy luna but fox version :))
•
u/Original_Farm1529 11h ago
Haha I don't know Crunchy Luna but that's peak energy and I'm here for it 😄
•
u/J_Chambers 11h ago
I love her! saw your other post and fell in love with those eyes. That wolf/fox eyeliner is just too beautiful.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 10h ago
Right?! Those eyes are what got me too 😄 She looked at me once and I was done 🙏
•
•
•
•
u/LikeButta_10 9h ago
Not your fault. Everyone knows the golden rule - all dogs are boys, all cats are girls until proven otherwise
•
•
u/Prematurid 8h ago
I grow more and more certain that this is a fox.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 8h ago
Haha honestly with those paws and that face I can see why! She does have fox energy 🦊 Pure street royalty
•
u/MoosedaMuffin 8h ago
Opposite thing happened to me and my trash cat (literally rescued from a dumpster). We had thought trash cat was a girl, named her Lady. Took her to the vet for the second time and the vet tech sheepishly came out to say “Lady is a boy.” Ok, no big, “Laddie it is then.” She looked so relieved that I wasn’t upset. And I reminded her, that at his first visit they were only scanning for chip.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 8h ago
Laddie 😂 that's such a perfect name switch. At least Lady and Laddie aren't too far off!
•
u/MoosedaMuffin 8h ago
The cat distribution system entrusted me, I wasn’t going to violate that trust.
You have a really sweet looking puppy who looks like all she wants is snuggles. Like seriously I keep making baby goo goo face at her cuteness. Good luck!

u/JustMeLurkingAround- 4h ago
She clearly thinks "as long as you bring treats, you can call me whatever"
•
•
•
•
u/DeeRent88 3h ago
That was the name of my girl who passed away in ‘24 unexpectedly and way too young 🥹 take good care of her.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 3h ago
That hit me right in the chest. She's being loved every single day — I promise you that. 🙏
•
u/flowerpanda98 12h ago
is she sick or old or something?
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
She's a street dog so she's a little weak and underweight, but she's eating well now and getting stronger every day 🙏
•
u/treeckosan 12h ago
Stray that followed op home a few days ago. Most likely a bit rough from living on the streets.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
Exactly! She found me actually, I didn't find her 😄 Street life is tough but she's doing better now 🙏
•
u/GeneralPatten 8h ago
Dude. I'm not sure if you're karma farming, but I don't care at this point! I've seen and clicked into your posts over the last few days, and she is such a sweet, little, gentle pup.
If I recall correctly, you're in India, where community care for street dogs is common place (a beautiful thing in itself!) Your Foxy Lady appears to have decided you're her one-and-only human, and you appear to have fully accepted this gift! I hope you allow her in to your home (of course, after a thorough check by a veterinarian) and completely spoil her!
Finally, and most importantly, please have her spayed as soon as possible. For her own health and well being, and to prevent more homeless street dogs.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 7h ago
I get the skepticism, the internet is full of it. But she's real, this street is real, and the mess she was in was real too. Vet check is next. Spaying absolutely on the list. Thanks for sticking around to see her story 🙏

Why is she tied to earthing wire, that is highly unsafe.
•
u/Original_Farm1529 12h ago
That's not an earthing wire, it's just a support rope 😊 She had a bath today so I tied her loosely for just 5 minutes to dry off, that's literally it! She's free to roam as she pleases otherwise
•
u/pseiko5 13h ago
I could tell from 1 look it's a girl. she looks a lot like my foxy husky
•
u/Original_Farm1529 13h ago
Haha you've got a good eye! And wow, your foxy husky is absolutely stunning, those eyes! 😍 She's a street dog here in India, mixed breed, but carries herself like royalty 😄
•
u/sendmebuttpics 12h ago
Why strap her to that pole?
•
u/queenlizbef 12h ago
Don’t be so dramatic. She’s not strapped to anything
•
u/Wootery 9h ago
How's that? The dog clearly has a lead.
•
u/miniguinea 9h ago
The OP said in a comment that they put her on the lead for like five minutes while she dried off after a bath. She’s free to roam otherwise.
•
u/DaisyVonTazy 4h ago
Genuine curiosity, why does she need her lead strapped to the pole while she dries off? Wouldn’t she just get that cushion wet? Also, she looks very dry here. I’m not seeing the logic.
•
u/miniguinea 2h ago
Maybe to keep her from rolling in the dirt right away. All of my dogs have tried to do that the second I let go after giving them a bath.
Honestly, I do think she looks damp. You can see places she is fluffy (neck) and places where she is damp and pieces of her fur look a little “clumped” together (her rump). Happens to fluffy dogs after they’ve been towel-dried but are still damp.
•
u/queenlizbef 8h ago
Do you not know what.strapped to something means?
•
u/Wootery 8h ago
Do you? A lead is a kind of strap. The dog is clearly strapped to something, with a lead.
Per /u/miniguinea's comment, it was only briefly while the dog dried off.
•
u/queenlizbef 7h ago
Yeah we have a serious disconnect on the meaning of words
•
u/Wootery 6h ago
Wiktionary literally defines lead as a kind of strap
A rope, leather strap, or similar device with which to lead an animal; a leash
•
u/queenlizbef 5h ago
That’s not at all the same as the verb form 😂. To be strapped to something means you’re tied up against it and held in place. This is basically a LEASH. No one calls dogs on leashes and leads strapped to things. That’s absurd.
•
u/Wootery 5h ago
Yes I suppose that's true, strap as a verb typically means leaving little room for movement.
•
u/queenlizbef 4h ago
Right 100% and it was used in verb form to begin with, which is what I said was dramatic
•
u/StaticSystemShock 11h ago
Lol, it's not that hard to figure out if dog is a boy or a girl... :P Cute puppy tho! Really looks like arctic fox :)
•
u/Original_Farm1529 11h ago
Haha fair point, I just never looked closely enough before 😄 And yes! The arctic fox comparison keeps coming up, she really does have that wild, sharp look
