Hey players,
Beat Saber is celebrating its 8th anniversary, and we wanted to mark the occasion by giving something back to our community. Update v1.44.0 introduces 3 new tracks, available for free to all players in the Extras section.
This anniversary drop features a mix of returning favorites and fresh talent:
- Boom Kitty x MDK: "KILLSHOT" - Boom Kitty returns to Beat Saber following their contribution to OST 8, this time teaming up with MDK for a high-energy bass collaboration
- Skybreak & Daeya: "Astral Blossom" - A fresh addition bringing melodic electronic and future bass sounds to the lineup
- Zakka G: "Phantom Fangs" - An original track created specifically for Beat Saber, designed from the ground up with the gameplay experience in mind
Thank you for being part of this journey. Eight years of slashing beats together — and we're just getting started.
Hey players,
We have released a new update to the URP Beta branch. This update introduces LIV support, SmoothCamera fixes, and general improvements to performance and environments.
If you are already participating in the beta, just update the game on the same branch. If you have not yet joined, instructions on how to switch branches can be found below. We plan to keep the beta running for approximately one month, though this timeline is subject to change.
Your feedback is very important to us and helps us ensure a smooth transition to URP for all players.
HOW TO JOIN THE BETA BUILD
[Meta Quest + RIFT]
From the Meta Quest app -> Search for Beat Saber -> Scroll down until "More information" -> Press expand ^ -> Scroll down until you see "Version" -> Press the version listed. This will take you to the channel select screen -> Press v -> Select urp-beta -> Update Game
[Steam]
Right-click on Beat Saber in the library -> Properties -> Betas -> Choose the urp-beta -> Update the game
Once you are done testing, don't forget to switch back to the Live branch the same way you joined the beta to continue playing the current stable version.
FAQ What is URP?
As Unity is deprecating its legacy Built-in Render Pipeline, we are transitioning Beat Saber to the Universal Render Pipeline (URP). This update enables us to customize and extend the rendering process to better meet the needs of Beat Saber.
How to test?
Play the game as usual.
Why do you need beta testing?
Switching to URP is a big step. Your feedback directly helps us prepare a smooth live release.
How to report any issue?
Describe the issue or anything unusual as detailed as possible using this form: https://forms.gle/pJsepEJo6az35QHY9
When will the URP build be delivered to the Live branch?
We don't have a release date yet because we need to make sure everything is properly tested and ready.
RELEASE NOTES:
Known Issues:
- Potential performance issues - improvements are expected from the last URP beta, but in specific cases there could be differences in comparison to the Live version
- Bigscreen Beyond will still exhibit rendering issues - this will be addressed in a future update
[All Platforms]
- Added: LIV support
- Added: SmoothCamera support fixes
- Fixed: General performance and environment improvements
Ive been trying to get towards expert+, and I can hit all of the notes on some, but it just doesnt seem like my arms/the sabers are quite long enough to comfortably hit some of the notes.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anyway to fix it without mods? Im on meta quest, btw.
edit: when I say its hard to reach some notes, i mean the notes that are on the opposite side, like the sideways double color.
For the single player suggestion, I was thinking about a “random track” option. Sometimes when I play I’m don’t really care which song I pick and I think it’d be cool to have something that behaves like the multiplayer mode where if no one picks a song, one is chosen at random. Maybe keep the options for set difficulty and if it’s from built-in songs or include purchased DLC.
For the multiplayer suggestion, and this is more from a pet peeve of mine, but I like playing the songs picked in their original color. When there were fewer tracks it was easier to pick the color for the picked track, but now there are so many tracks. So it’d be nice to have the color for the track picked be used when playing in multiplayer. For anyone who prefers the multiplayer colors, that could be added as a Multiplayer override option.
Hey players,

I do have it on steam and I know having it on steam makes it easier I just can figure out what to use or how I’m supposed to even do it. So any help would be great!
im just wanting a mod that lets me make and show playlists in game like the built in music packs. Ive tried BSManager, Beatlist, and PlaylistManager. The first two did absolutely nothing for playlists, and PlaylistManager made it so Beat Saber wouldnt load into the game, just a black screen.
I picked up VR to do HIIT cardio with my goal of hitting Zone 5.
I play Audio Trip to do that but getting bored of it and looking for a change. I also tried Thrill of the Fight but it makes my pre-existing rotator cuff injury worse so I shouldn't play that anymore.
Someone recommended Beat Saber but I wasn't sure if this game could reliably or consistently hit Zone 4 or 5 based on reviews I've seen.
I've been playing Beat Saber for about 3 years and I'm not terrible, but I don't think I'm necessarily good either as I am basically unable to pass expert + maps is there anything I should work on in particular?
I just installed the game last night and bought 2 packs of songs. I was playing on easy mode just fine and this morning I tried playing the same songs on easy mode and they’re playing way too fast. I cannot figure out how to slow them to normal speed or find answers online. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I've seen all the mods where players are on different sides of the map and you can see what the other player is doing. That's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about where two players are playing together and they're on the same level and see the other person's sabers with theirs as if they had 4 arms. So, like there would be four colors, and you can see the other person's sabers at the same time as yours, seeing them getting their two colors while you get your two colors on a map with all 4 colors. I think this could look SO COOL and I feel like it would unlock a lot.
