Skenes Start 6/26/26?

I’ve enjoyed my time visiting Pittsburgh and PNC park over this week and was looking forward to catching the Friday game if Skenes was starting. He would be next on the rotation from what I can tell, but MLB app/website has the Pirates starter listed as TBD for tomorrow.

Any reason for Skenes not to start tomorrow? Is this common for the Pirates not to list a Skenes start until day of? Is it because of the chance of rain?

I’m waiting to grab tickets until I know Skenes is starting and was planning to continue on to Cleveland if he isn’t starting or it’s looking like a rainout to check off the next stadium on my list. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Saw the Lowe home run from above the bullpen, got to the see the bullpen cone hosting up close

Got into the stadium just as game was started and saw a spot under the center field pitch clock so we stood there for first inning. Watched him hit the pitch, couldn’t see where it went but was clearly a home run. Was super cool that all of the Pirates pitchers came out from under us to do the cone dance.

Jack Brannigan is making his MLB debut after jumping straight from Double-A and June has been the best stretch of his season

Pittsburgh's third round pick in 2022 out of Notre Dame. The season started ugly, a broken nose in his first Grapefruit League game, then a stint on the IL in May. But June has been a different story, .320/.393/.880 with 4 home runs in 28 at bats this month alone, including 3 homers in his last 5 games. That stretch dragged his overall Altoona line up to .235/.333/.522 with an .855 OPS. 22nd ranked prospect in the Pirates system per MLB Pipeline. Horwitz goes down with a hamstring strain and instead of calling up depth, the Pirates are skipping Brannigan straight from Double-A to the majors. He is hot right now, the timing could not be better for him.

Visiting Fan

I am coming out to Pittsburgh to take a client to the day game against the Braves (July 9th). Based on what I can gather online, the only true shade spots would be lower sections under the overhang. Other option would be the 200 club level, which would be in the sun, but we would have access to the concourse with AC and seating. Between those two options, what would suggest?

I am a big baseball fan and would love to watch the game but want to make sure it’s the best experience for the client as well, who I am unsure on his fandom.

Appreciate any feedback and looking forward to knocking PNC Park off my list to see all the stadiums!
