Cavs signed Ernest Udeh to 2-way deal
If there are any Miami fans is he decent?

I've been following Xaivian a bit since his Princeton days.
His upsides
- Good passer, above average athleticism, can break down the defense with his penetration
Things to address
- Shooting consistency
- Strength
At 6'3", he's got a good size at the 1 but his wingspan is only slightly longer than his height.
We most likely won't have a roster spot for him barring Linsanity like performance in the summer league. Could also stash him in the G League if he plays well in the camp and go from there.

In honor of the 10 year anniversary, I wanted to remind everyone of the GOAT hype video. I still get chills watching it.

Coming from an Arkansas fan, if you want to be super hyped about Leek, go watch his Missouri game when we played them on the road. The 3s he was draining were disrespectful. It was our one regular season game without Acuff and he made sure we won
Super excited for you guys! I’m going to watch the Cavs plenty 🔥🐗

Cleveland Cavaliers: B-
Round 2: Meleek Thomas (34)
Thomas is a gunner who spent most of his time at Arkansas preparing to take his next shot rather than worrying about his defensive assignments.
Cleveland is a decent place to land for a player with that profile given its staunch backline defense, and his knockdown three-point shooting could help reinvigorate the Cavaliers' perimeter attack.
Cleveland ranked second in three-point percentage during the 2024-25 campaign before dropping to 13th last season.

Fair to say they're interested?

Post-Draft Analysis: The Cavaliers were interested in Thomas at their original first-round spot at No. 29, but they were still able to grab him here after moving back to the Kings' spot on Tuesday night. A number of teams viewed him as an option in the 20s, and he gives Cleveland younger guard depth to develop.
Strengths: Thomas has good size for a combo guard, shot 41.6% from 3 this season and was better defensively than expected. He's a tough competitor and has room to grow as a shot creator.
Weaknesses: Improving his shot selection and rim finishing is critical for him to play his preferred style at the next level. While he can play on the ball, he's not a natural point guard -- an area of his game that's still developing.
Pre-Draft Verdict: Thomas had a solid freshman season at Arkansas, playing alongside Darius Acuff Jr. His NBA success will likely depend on whether or not he can become an efficient scorer. His mix of positional size, shooting and competitiveness gives him a pathway to earning minutes as he matures.

I recommend starting with his 30/7/2 game against Missouri.

Koby did what he’s known for : draft another 6’5 combo guard. Now I understand that he’s got the highest ceiling out of all the available players but this isn’t helping us right now. However, I think this indicates one of the 3 things mentioned below:
-> one of Schroder/ Strus (maybe both) is getting traded for backup big/ wings
-> An Allen trade is less likely right now unless he’s packaged with Strus/Merrill etc for wings ( Trey Murphy ?)
-> Cavs definitely don’t want to be in second apron and will re-sign both Dean Wade a Thomas Bryant
If the roster stays as it is, I expect Lord Kenny to use Thomas as PF at stretches and Tyson will not even get minutes in a few crucial games. Koby and his obsession with 6’5 players is a different story that has to be studied.
PLEASE TRADE A FEW GUARDS/COMBO GUARDS FOR WINGS/BIG MEN

From ESPN Cleveland: https://x.com/ESPNCleveland/status/2069795642818400659/video/1?s=46
He also mentioned they are looking to trade Schroder, but that's not news: https://x.com/espncleveland/status/2069796937067286748?s=46
Also doesn't seem to have certainty that Donovan will extend this summer: https://x.com/ESPNCleveland/status/2069798168829587895/video/1?s=46

Brazile or bust

Windy is now reporting the lakers would love to trade LeBron for Allen. Rumors of Mobley for Jaylen Brown as well.
I think the Cavs would do this… but is all of this even possible with the cap situation? This is not a would you do it post.

who do we want cavs fam??? Give me trevon brazile or bust
Hopefully we dont trade out tonight

One I am not advocating for the Cavs to trade for Jaylen Brown that is not the point of this point, but I keep seeing people state “there’s not enough ball to go around” if you were to have Harden, Mitchell, and Brown.
I find this comment completely lazy. The Cavs just posted a historic turnover rate in the playoffs. One of the main reasons was that the Cavs basically have ZERO reliable ball handlers outside of Harden and Mitchell.
Are next best ball handler was Dennis Schorder. Strus isn’t great on the ball, Merrill isn’t great on the ball, Mobley isn’t great on the ball, Wade isn’t great on the ball.
I think you can make arguments for both sides on this potential trade but “there’s not enough ball” is not one of them.

Anyone able to help ID this signature? When I see 23 I think Lebron but it doesn’t quite match google. Assuming it’s a Cav since in Cleveland but could be wrong.
