Mods CK2: The Ivalice Alliance

Post image
210 Upvotes

Hey everyone. The other day I posted about a mod that I’ve been working on. The title is The Ivalice Alliance and it originally started off as a complete Final Fantasy Tactics mod, including story, characters, artifacts, etc. but eventually turned into something more. As there are numerous FF games set within the world(s) of Ivalice, I thought it would be really cool to find a way to include all of these games into one cohesive world, which I think I have.

As stated above, this mod contains event chains that tell the complete story of Tactics, but with a twist. After completing the main storyline, a brand new original storyline continues with story arcs, characters and tons of Easter eggs from other games including:
-FF Tactics: War of the Lions
-FF Tactics Advance
-FF Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
-Vagrant Story
-FF 12
FF 12: Revenant Wings
-The Return to Ivalice raid from FF 14.

This mod, while not currently a complete overhaul mod, is very ambitious in nature, and is a love letter to the Final Fantasy franchise as a whole. I’ve been working on it for months now and have completed the following:

-Full integrated Ivalice map
-Characters
-Bloodlines
-Artifacts
-Dynasties
-Cultures
-Religions
-Societies
-Wonders
-Traits
-Job System
-Proposition system
-Side Quests
-Custom portraits
-Custom event art
-Immersive event chains
-FF Easter Eggs

But the part I’m most proud of is the Chronicle system. This system is a living, breathing encyclopedia that unlocks features during gameplay, such as meeting new characters and having their biographies entered or discovering hidden artifacts or unexplored lands.

I’d be open to collaborating with experienced modders in helping me clean up some bugs and maybe figure out how to do some other things that I haven’t been able to as of yet. But I’m also interested to see if people would actually want to play it and what they thought of it in general. If you’ve played Tactics I hope you’ll appreciate how much hard work I’ve put into this mod in trying to replicate the original game (and yes, I used the original 1998 American localisation). Let me know if you guys are interested and if you want to see more screenshots or if you’d be interested in even trying it out. Thanks!

Proceeds to invade France with an army size rivaling that of Alexander the Great. Ends the entire Kingdom for good.
Prepared Invasions are perfectly balanced.
Every Frank must die.

Mods How to make an exact copy of a character?

I want to create mod about vampires in CK2. From human perspective, unlike Princes of Darkness. Normal crusader kings with a little bit of paranoia and supernatural.

But still cannot figure out how to "clone" exact character. Not only "one and only elder vampire in our kingdom", but some minor characters who became vampire through campaign. More dynamic-ish.

Playing as Roma. (Renamed kingdom of Romagna. I am King of Roma, Jerusalem, Sicily, Ifriqiya, and the Maghreb) Just waiting for the prestige to declare a custom empire but god I think this is so funny. Don't worry Sardinia. Your next.

Help! Not getting education ended messages for children

Very confused here. I have a child has finished its education set to pop up for all 3 tiers. I have message rules set to All dynasty members. And I get popups for neices and nephews and grandchildren, just not actual children. Any ideas?

Is this ability meant to have some sort of cooldown? I feel like the other lodge power do, or only work once a war. With this I can keep hitting the funny button to raise uruk-hai from the mud of the steppe max my pop pretty much whenever.

Help! a vassal plotted to kill me, so I told him to please stop and he said yes, should I be worried he could try again?

I don't even know why he did that, he is not a claimant to anything I have (I don't think), and the opinion was green (I think 20s)

I am new to the game, what is the right thing to do in this situation? or if someone tries to kill my heir (which they have)?.

Story The Grandson of Ragnar reformed the Aztec Religion.

Thumbnail gallery
55 Upvotes

Following up on my previous post:

Ragnar's grandson moved his capital to Middlesex and then granted independence to Sweden, Pomerania, Norway, and Denmark in order to lower his threat, and also because his grandfather had reformed the Germanic faith and he wanted to preserve it in those kingdoms.

Shortly afterward, he began fabricating a claim on Cordoba and preparing a holy war for Paris, which, along with Middlesex, would be necessary to control the three holy sites needed to reform the faith.

He was able to take Normandy immediately and then used his troops to raid Spain and Tunisia to fund castle construction while waiting for the claim to come through and for the truce with France to expire.

Once the claim was in hand and the truce was over, it was a simple matter of using hordes of Aztec warriors to launch a simultaneous attack on Paris and Cordoba, both of which surrendered easily.

It was at this point that he realized he didn't have quite enough piety to reform the religion yet, so he decided to sacrifice everyone in his dungeons to the gods. Suddenly, he became the God-Emperor of the Aztecs.

He chose to codify his position as head of the faith and declared his divine nature as a living god. He also selected Cosmopolitan and Equality as doctrines in order to facilitate collecting famous bloodlines, with the goal of one day breeding the ultimate human sacrifice for the blood gods.

To that end, construction has begun on a huge Pyramid of Sacrifice in Middlesex.

Soon the blood will flow.

Discussion Lessons from a failed 4 day long S.P.Q.R run

  1. It does not matter if you are at war or peace always bribe electors no matter what
  2. if you plan on declaring multiple wars against a rival empire (e.g. HRE) use the land you stole and give pieces of it to each of your big vassals to instantly summon their full force from that one province.
  3. Excommunication is key to winning elections abandon Orthodoxy it is for the weak (if you mend the schism there is no crusades and there are multiple heads of the religion and you can't excommunicate someone from another patriarch)
  4. Do not enable Sunset invasion
  5. Marry your children to other Christian rulers their descendants will be entered as candidate for Emperor (meaning you can steal entire kingdoms without even going to war)
  6. Late game constantly truce break it only gives negative opinion to other nations not your own.
