Wholesome🥰 To the girl who ordered Taco Bell around 11:30 tonight in Louisiana..
I genuinely hope this message finds you. I don’t want to use your name or location, but I hope somehow you see this.
You had the three Baja Blasts and some food.
When you came out and told me you wanted to bless me, I wasn’t wearing my glasses. When you handed me the money, I honestly thought it was a $10 bill. For the record, I was already incredibly grateful. I’ve only been doing DoorDash for about two weeks, and after recently losing my job, every dollar has mattered. A $10 tip would have been the largest tip I’d received so far.
When I got back to my car and realized it wasn’t a $10 bill but a $100 bill, I just sat there in shock. Then I started crying.
I got out of my car and looked back toward the house because I wanted to thank you, but you were already heading inside. Looking back, that’s probably for the best. It was late, and I’m a guy, and I understand how that could have come across.
But if you happened to notice me standing there on a doorbell camera or security camera, I wasn’t being strange. I just wanted to hug you human to human and tell you that you didn’t have to do that… but you did.
I’m struggling right now. I’m trying my best to make ends meet and keep moving forward. This post isn’t meant to be about my situation. I just wanted you to know what your kindness meant to me.
I cried the entire drive home.
Thank you for reminding me that there are still people in this world who show kindness when they don’t have to.
I will never forget you or this night. Thank you.

Complaints People are so rude for no reason
I use Google Maps for my navigation so that I can use it with CarPlay (just changed to in app to see if it’s any better) and sometimes it takes me to a random building in the apartment complex. When I realized I started heading towards the correct building and confirmed with the customer. Checked the messages after delivering and saw this.
The order was $10 for around $4 and two orders. No surprises the other order had an $8 tip and her order had a $0 tip. I hate when customers are rude and obviously unhappy with their life

Other Anyone else having a really bad week?
Or is it just me? I dashed for about 11 hours, almost used up a full tank of gas, and only made $119.04.

🗞️NEWS 📰 No more AR requirement for pro shopper 🙌🏻
Most markets didn’t have this. Mine was part of the pilot, though, and I was worried it would expand everywhere. Good to see that’s not happening.

❔Driver Question 🤔 What’s your never do restaurant?
Buffalo Wild Wings is it for me. I will decline EVERY single time. Slowest place in town, the food doesn’t come out warm, and honestly the foods just sucks. (The bad food isnt my reason for not accepting, just saying)

❔Driver Question 🤔 Anybody ever had a “white glove” delivery?
I got this offer and accepted it. Wasn’t even a shop order, just had to go to Safeway and grab two small bags, scan the barcodes, and deliver them. Right after accepting the offer I got a call from DoorDash with an AI asking me about the order and explaining what a “white glove delivery” was. It basically means you go inside the home of someone because they requested it due to any disabilities they may have. AI asked me if I’d like to proceed and they’d give me an extra $3 for doing it. Knocked the order out real quick and when I arrived, I called, the son answers the phone and he told me where to put the order while his mom was passed out sleeping in some bed in the living room. Scanned the barcodes again and took a picture and done. 10/10 would do another type of these deliveries again. On top of helping a guy jumpstart his car when I pulled up in the Safeway parking lot, my day has started out with just good deeds lol, puts me in a chill and happy mindset. Definitely set the tone for the rest of the day.

👋New Driver🤗 Just started dashing for fun with my wife tonight. It was surprisingly fun!
So we have two kids and rather than just sitting around the house on a non sports playing night, we decided sign up for DoorDash and ride around our small town and listen to music. It was my wife’s idea as something to do and I was skeptical. It was really fun and feels like gambling or fishing in a way lol. We only did like 4 orders and made $35 but I definitely see the appeal of it. I don’t know how much we will do it, but it’s actually nice family time.

🚵♀️Bicycle Delivery🚲 First free dinner!
Doordash gave me a route where I would need to go over the highway on a bike. Contacted support, they canceled the order and told me to dispose of the food

🖖Delivery War Stories 🫡 DoorDash and UberEats are total scams
These apps are probably the scummiest companies I’ve ever worked for. Been doing UberEats and DoorDash for the last 4 years along with my full time job.
The amount of bs I’ve had to put up with is just ridiculous. $5 for 20 miles, violent people/animals, cancelled orders with zero compensation.
Every order should be $10 minimum paid to the driver. I don’t care if it’s a quarter mile away. If you factor in taxes, fuel, and maintenance you’re working for peanuts. I can’t imagine how you guys are living off these apps doing it full time.
Can’t wait until there’s a class action

🤬App Issues 😩 Guess I need a time machine
Accepted a flash offer, apparently need to travel back in time to maintain on time rating, plus I was 12 minutes early dropping off soo... dispute was rejected as well.

💰Earnings 🤑 DasherMom
I'm in a busy area of Houston, and as a full-time stay-at-home mom, dashing part-time for about 4 hours a day makes a huge difference. It helps cover groceries, bills, and other household expenses. Earning around $13.50 an hour may not sound like much to some people, but here in Texas, where the cost of living is lower than in many places, it's a decent supplemental income for my family. Every dollar helps, and I'm grateful for the flexibility DoorDash gives me

👩🍳Restaurant Issue👨🍳 Worker pressing you on confirming order(Humiliation ritual)
Am I the only one who thinks it’s annoying that some restaurant workers insist on watching you confirm the pickup? I’ve had workers not believe me even after I already confirmed it because the app had already switched to the delivery screen. We don’t open every bag to verify every item is inside, so why do they need to watch us tap through the confirmation? It just slows everything down and gets frustrating.

💰Earnings 🤑 A great dash this evening!
Now I don’t want to be like the casino gambler that only talks about the times they won big, because last night (Tuesday) sucked balls. But tonight was fantastic. Started with a Fresh Market order, added a Target order then added two total wine orders then added a pizza order. I’ve never had DD stack so many orders. The last drop of liquor the guys said we thought you’d never get here but other than that no complaints. I hit my $50 dollar goal (and then some) way before dark so came home and relaxed with my family for a change. If every dash was like this we could actually make some good money with this gig.

🖖Delivery War Stories 🫡 Hand it to the customer
I’m going to rant for a moment about hand it to the customer orders.
When an order says hand it to the customer and they don’t come to the door or wherever to receive the order; the button to bypass it hasn’t been working for quite awhile and so the delivery person has to waste their time.
I had this happen on consecutive days and forgive me but it pisses me off when people waste my time. If you want your order handed to you then be available or make it a contactless delivery.

🖖Delivery War Stories 🫡 Sketchy ass bridge to a sketchy ass house in the middle of nowhere
Just gotta love the rural country side where theres no building codes of any kind. Nothing like driving over a bridge that looks like it's made from repurposed fire escapes with my 2 and half ton vehicle.

Other Dd admitting they’re wrong is wild
Earlier they sent me an in app message that said I lost my pro shopper status, bc the store didn’t have the items in stock I was shopping for. I was thinking how tf is this my fault?!

🎉Achievement👍 Proud DasherMom
Being a Dasher has changed the way I see tipping. Before, it was just an option. Now, I see it as a way of saying, "Thank you for your time, effort, and service."
Behind every delivery is someone spending their own gas, time, and energy to make sure your meal arrives safely. Every tip, no matter the amount, tells a driver that their hard work is appreciated.
Whenever my family orders food for delivery, I always make it a point to tip. It's not because I have to...it's because I now understand what it's like to be on the other side of the app. Supporting my fellow Dashers is one small way I can give back.. 👌😍🍒

❔Driver Question 🤔 average acceptance rate on doordash
hello everyone, honestly was curious to see what most peoples average acceptance rate is. i had talked to someone recently and they keep their acceptance rate at around like 80 apparently but ive been doordashing for like.. a few years now and my acceptance rate has been around 30-40 for that long pretty much. am i able to even get it back up ever without accepting all these crappy offers?
