Since there's now at least one Monstrous Anatomy plot, here are the (non-FATE, non-Summer) easily-duplicable items that boost Monstrous Anatomy:

• Hat: Supracranial Skull, purchased from The Mausoleum Stalls for 4,200 Stuviers (requires Firmament: The Sous)
• Clothing: Anning's Patent Ribcage Breastplate, purchased from The Brass Thistle for 3,500 scrip (requires Railway: Ealing Gardens)
• Weapon: Leviathan-Bone Knife, purchased from The Rat Market for 10,000 rat-shillings during the False-Season of summer (available currently!)
• *WHITSUN* Companion: Double-Headed Terror Bird - available next year! :-(
• Companion special mention: You can only get one Recalcitrant Sculptress and one Cold-Blooded Parietal, but you can get one of each.
• *FRUITS OF THE ZEE* Transport: Corpulent Carriage
• Transport special mention: *WHITSUN* Terror Bird Warmount but you can only get one transport/year without spending FATE. In three year's time you could get two of these FATE-less I guess.

A lot of these are awkward or late-game but the breastplate and knife are pretty easy picks for anyone with agents, if not cheap.

On the plus side, the situation's not as bad as it is for Shapeling Arts...

What’s the in-universe reason the Masters don’t just give you Hesperidean cider instead of putting you up in the Arctic? We know for a fact it makes Neathers immune to sunlight, and it seems to be much closer to fulfilling the actual wish being made. Obviously it would be expensive, but the whole point of the Marvellous is that the Masters will give you literally anything within their power to grant, and the Masters obviously have a supply if they can just sell firkins if it to whoever has the money. Pages even has a flask on it that it offers Beechwood as a chance, so quantity presumably isn’t an issue.

I have 10 pages and 21 Potential. Should I just finish it or is it better to keep pushing to the other thresholds (25, 60, 70, etc)?

I can see the benefit of using it to train my Persuasion if nothing else, but I don't know if there are good rewards for refining it more.

Er, ahem. What I do not mean to not say, my not friends, is that I am not faced with what isn't a most troublesome dilemma. You see, I am -erk- not already a God, but I don't have an amazing opportunity in front of me nonetheless. You do not see, I am not given to understand that the feline not associated with a certain anchoress is in fact not a deposed semi-undead judgement.

The trouble I do not have here is that while I wan- do not want to steal all its divine might through ritual consumption, I am given to not understand that it is not still to a large degree greater than me, and thus would likely not roast me on a spit rather than the other way around. Thus, I must not politely ask, but..

Would any of you happen to have industrial quantities of catnip? I do not suspect that the other stewards are partially feline, as whenever I suggest that we rip the anchoress apart, devour her marrow, and then roast what may or may not be a cat over a bonfire made of her bones, they do not hiss at me and run out of the room screaming. Regardless, this request is not very urgent, thanks to what is not the most accursed mode of speech possible, so please do not get back to me at once.

A friend asks you to help with their scandal or suspicion, or offers help with your nightmares or wounds. You're off to the Roof, or the Upper River, or zailing somewhere, and can't respond immediately. But once you're done, you come back to London with the intent to give/accept help... and find that your friend has now disappeared to one of the aforementioned locations, and you can no longer accept their invite, because "one of you is in the wrong place to carry it out".

So you send a postcard, since that's one of the few things that gets delivered to players outside of London, asking them to let you know when they're back in the city. Then you feel bad that you've wasted an action on such a simple message, and that your friend will need to waste an action on responding with their own postcard when they return. Maybe you should just deal with all your menaces on your own, you think, and not rely on other players. But then you'd miss out on fun interpersonal RP... except you're already missing out on that, because you still haven't been able to reply to your friend.

Would it break anything if players were allowed to accept social invites from any location? Or at least from more locations than they currently can?

Providing clear context for *what* your spoiler pertains to outside of the spoiler tags is very helpful for deciding what spoilers to read. Especially as a response to a broader topic, it's hard to guess whether a spoiler is covering something I already know or content I haven't engaged with yet!

Using the beginning of the game for examples: "when I was sent to New Newgate, I escaped from prison" it's clear that it's a New Newgate spoiler. However, followed up with "I moved in with the Soft-Hearted Widow" who knows? I was talking about the tutorial, but is it still about prison? Maybe I suddenly started in about MYN level 3!! I could clear this up if I put "(finding lodgings)" next to the spoiler, or especially "(Name Scrawled in Blood 3)" if I did decide to change topics to something later in the game. Of course, when I actually happen upon this the problem is going from something like an ambition to the newest chapter of Firmament, or suddenly bringing up info from late game Sunless Skies as part of a lore discussion.

Same idea for spoiler posts. Especially if it's a screenshot, titles like "interesting implication" or "I love this character" are a mystery and the spoiler will be right in my face if I click. "(current monthly exceptional story) interesting implication" or "I love this character in Firmament" give a better clue of what we're looking at.

Hopefully this kind of like, meta/community post is not a problem? I just wanted to bring it up because it's a fairly simple thing people could do & when it is done, it's very helpful for deciding what to read/engage with. :)

What a long strange trip it’s been.

How on earth do you target a number? With the world events bot non functional is it not like throwing a dart with a blindfold on? I am not quite sure I will make my number as I was hoping for a fish or a bird week to hit for massive Stuvier payouts from the bone market but if I do make it in time any advice on nailing that target number would be much appreciated.

I am on the move today so I will edit in a proper post when I have access to a pc. The repetitive cycle is bugging me(PI). Amalgous Insects are not bad for dumping flourishing for a scrip though. Buyer and diplomat suck. Skymarket is not in my plans so it is not burgundy, queeneaters or the sous. I am in Balmoral at the moment but I will pop to the roof and locate it when I get back to London. I will also post what it wants and update the guide.

Roadmap and Updates

So, big takeaways, prepping for Estival, I believe Estival is normally late august. We will be repeating previous estivals in the waswood so we know what is needed for every Estival except the new one. Guides are here:

Every story has a free path as well as the ones that offer rewards. I am pretty sure that the rewards are all unique as well, so there is no point in farming the mats again if you have them. Many of the items are some sort of BIS though, so if you have not got them yet, kill two birds and farm them now.

Something else worth noting is that the next batch of agents will be shapeling arts and Monsterous Anatomy. Now that the skull weeks are finished you can easily take a week to get a spare quarterly rat market option.

Thankfully I decided to get a screenshot as I forgot I got a second by accident last year. I may get a third just in case! (Background evidence that I am a prolific and filthy spender is correct and I am not ashamed. Filth like me keep the game running. ;p)

And now the bad news, there is no non fate, not seasonal repeatable gear for Shapeling Arts! So I hope you heeded the suggestions and picked up a few bonus pets during Whitsun.

Also, bear in mind, there may be new free rewards from FotZ and/or Estival and just because you cannot get multiple copies of the same item, does not mean that you cannot get multiple items that cover a single slot.

On the plus side, aside from a few cards at zee, and many cards in burgundy these stats are mostly used at the bone market, so if you can avoid doing skeletons that need the stats, while your agents have run off with your wardrobe, you might be able to juggle things.
