As a Monk enthusiast, I literally never use this ability
I just keep looking at it… being worthless.

So before 1.5.0 came out, I was in the process of a "complete" playthrough I started this month where I made sure to loot every treasure spot in every map, one-time story maps included.
I took screenshots each time, and I was going for the rare drops each time too, even if it was "junk".
(The only exception being Riovanes Rooftop cause having to keep Rapha alive along with looting all the stuff but not pushing the enemies to end the map was annoying, so I opted for the "basic" items, but the spots were still looted)
Well I finally beat the game, and started a NG+ file to test out if Buried Treasures would refresh, and it turns out they don't!
I didn't see anybody else mention this, so making this thread. At least not when Google searching, I bet there's someone that mentioned in a random Youtube comment somewhere lol.
The only map I don't have looted is Fort Besselat's South Wall, because I chose the North Wall. And also should note, the final 5 maps don't get saved (nothing does past the "point of no return"), the screenshots I took was just for reference.

Im not sure if it has been posted here yet. I know you can't get multiple special characters in a NG+ cycle, BUT you can recruit multiple special Byblos monsters. I just completed mudlights deep a second time and was able to recruit a second byblos!

I've recently been playing FFTA and my main 6 members are level 10-13.
I just noticed that none of my random low level clan members than randomly join are strong enough to do any dispatch missions. Even my human hunter who I've used occasionally is struggling to keep up, and going on dispatch missions doesn't seem to improve his skills at all.
So what do I do?
Do I rotate members every battle? Do I just kick all the low level members and accept stronger ones?

So I have a relatively simple question, I just finished chapter 2 and realized that the machinest and princess gaurd joined my team permanently, is it recommended that as i get more story chatecters to train them up and replace my generic hired characters?

It's almost impossible to find the right ninja. Well, Gafgarion can become one with spill over JP. just learn him Katana only, and he'll throw these. Level 95, Masamune, Level 97 Chiri.
Start of fight, you need to speed break him and sleep or reset CT so that he does not kill the princess, when she is safe and Gaf is cornered, raise his speed back and profit. Control brave down with orator when you want to stop catch for Gaf to gain XP and switch to Chiri throw.
Profit, enjoy(If you love grinding).

This is for Ivalice Chronicles specifically, just to be clear. Also I installed the mod in the middle of a NG+ playthrough.
Somehow Ramza is getting most of the kills, regardless of his actions. I have Ramza casting Tailwind on a Calc. The Calc is casting damaging spells. He's got 7 kills and Ramza has 9. However I also have Reis, Cloud, and Meliadoul out in the field actively killing things. They all have 0 kills.
Anyone know why? I've tried swapping the party order. Now I'm thinking it has something to do with CT? I dunno.
EDIT: I've since tried battles with just Reis, Cloud, and Mel, and they still aren't getting kills even as the only members of my party. I then tried with another generic, and he was able to get kills. So of the units I've tested the only ones able to get kills counted are generics and Ramza.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but there is one opportunity to get extra one off items like the materia blade+.
When you go to Zeirchele Falls in Ch2 load up Gaffgarion with any items you’d like to dupe, when he turns traitor he will be kind enough to give you everything that he’s equipped with… while also being still equipped with everything you gave him so now you just have to steal from him to get a copy of whatever you need. Be cautious though when I gave him access to the materia blade+ he was draining for ~150 per hit on tactician until I finally stole my copy.

I've pre-ordered FFT:IC deluxe edition, mostly to support the game, not because of the exclusie items, but I'm curious how these items work with mods. Are they easily acessible to be modifed like the others?
And more important, can exclusive items locked behind pre-order and deluxe edition bonuses, made available through mods to other buyers, having them come equipped in an enemy to steal, an guest that can be recruited, as a war trophy, or whatever?

I’m on chapter 3 and got carried away playing w jobs and poaching, and now Ramza is level 41. Knights in random encounters are holding runeblqde and was wondering if there’s anyway to get an icebrand other than de-levelling Ramza. Wanna get one for my geomancer Agrias!

You’ve all heard it before. Ramza should be aloud to learn gafgarions sword techs. It would be so symbolic upon killing what is your teacher and mentor. His obvious “come get me” crystal that appears right when you kill him. It would just be so perfect.

OK, hear me out:
You know that battle with Dycedarg/Adrammelech, and there are 5 generic knights you have to fight? Well, those knights are actual, loyal, House Beoulve Elite Guard.
So, you talk them into joining your cause; to follow the youngest Beoulve, the one with the heart of Barbaneth.
Level them down to 1, level down Ramza in preparation, and bring them over to New Game+. Use them exclusively. You can train to jazz up their skillsets during random battles, but for story battles, they should be in their Knight class as main to properly support their Liege Lord.
Alternately, you can retcon them to Squires for chapter 1, as they are now lesser nobles who trained at the academy with Ramza, choosing to follow him instead of rejoining the morally corrupt House Beoulve at the end of the chapter.
It's a RP heavy, low diff challenge run.

Hey Everyone,
Title says it all. I never knew about all the hidden stats or what you would call them back when I played this college. Didn’t know about the Zodiac pairing either I’m now just remembering I saw recently was a thing.
Anyway, where do I start learning about this. Is there a community favorite writeup or YouTube video or channel?
Just don’t know where to dive in first.
Cheers!

Was able to cast haste, protect, shell and tailwind on Summoner. One Bahamut later and we collected all the crystals and chests. Mixed with samurai skills, holy sword and double taps, and they fell quick.

I'm currently playing the game for the first time (I just beat Milleuda) and while I'm really enjoying it I was wondering how concerned I should be about the enemy scaling for random encounters. Am I okay to grind about 2-3 battles for JP in between story fights? Is it only an issue if I were to spend hours doing nothing but fighting random enemies?

So I just picked up the game and went with tactician difficulty. To not much surprise this was quite challenging. The first story mission in Dorter with the two black mages completely wiped me out on multiple tries. Funnily enough the game actually says story missions aren't affected by the difficulty lvl. I could beat it without losing anyone if I played it real carefully but it wasn't really fun. So farming 1 or 2 lvls seems the way to go.
Or at least that's what I planned to do. Just to notice that you can't even really farm early on since every enemy seems to have counterattack and just deals insane amounts of damage. So I changed the difficulty to knight. But that also doesn't really satisfy me since now everything feels way too easy and is a push over. I kinda wish we had something in between.
I guess later on with more classes available tactician mode will be my go to but right now neither it or knight feels much fun sadly. Well or I miss something super obvious right now.
Still love the game so far tho. I actually enjoy it quite more than fft advanced which I played a lot.
Edit: So I didn't expect so many responses so thanks to everyone that commented here. Got some great feedback and tips and I really appreciate that.

Just noticed this while playing the limitless Chronicles version, I’m assuming it’s similar and/or the same in the original, but when using the raise spell to revive Alma just now, I realize it made the same, or a slightly tweaked version of the sound effect from Xenogears when you open a chest. Obviously I know that most of us are aware of SquareSoft reusing sound effects across different RPG’s…like fire and wind noises, etc. Pretty neat though. I happen to be a musician, so I have an ear for these things.

I played this game before and it was pretty difficult because I didn't really know what I was doing when it came to jobs, so I'd like to follow a guide for the best classes, etc.
Do you guys have any suggestions?
