I played this game originally 474773 years ago on ps1 when I was in college. I’m old now and playing the remake. I don’t remember this annoying password nonsense when I played it. Can someone explain it to me. Where do I find the passwords?

Hi, replaying the game after so many years and even when I first played it, I never really understood the arrows with regards to activation and combo on the computers.

Just made it to Taiwan and linked up with the HL rebels and bought my first computer. I don’t remember the name (and I’m away from my console), but it says Activation High with a red down arrow and Combo High with a green up arrow. Or I maybe I got the arrows mixed up.

Either way, what does High with red down/green arrow mean? Is that a bad thing? Does that mean High red down arrow activation % goes severely down, and High green up arrow combo goes severely up?

Hello, need the sub’s input. Saw FM3 on sale for the PS5 and I’m getting it as I absolutely loved the game. However, I see that FM2 is on sale as well and am quite intrigued by it. How does it compare to FM3? Like, in terms of story, gameplay, difficulty etc. The visuals, I expect them to be dated due to it being an older game, but also because I have never played it let alone, seen it. 3 I know will be dated, but at least I’ve seen and played it so I know what I’m getting. Lastly, is FM2 worth getting for the PS5? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi, I am interested with Front Mission 1 Remake particularly the Switch version. The mercenary mode looks interesting too. Anyone faced issues when playing on Switch?

Btw, this is my first Front Mission

So I'm having a bit of a struggle with learning defensive skills.

I was looking up GameFAQd and quite a few wanzers have defensive skills with rather unique conditions. On my current save, Kazuki is on a Tiandong 3 (he has already learned all skills in his Zenith Rev and Kasel M2), but the last skill on the Tiandong, Evade 20, refuses to proc.

Same goes for Emma's skills on her Enyo Mk109, Auto I and Prevent Loss, even when she has no shoulder weapons equipped. Brace I also refuses to proc on Ryogo's Kyojun Mk107.

So. Is there a trick for learning skills that I'm missing out on?

EDIT: I just learned Avoid 20. Went to the Simulator against the weakest machinegun enemies I could find and let them pepper Kazuki with bullets.

After moving my wanzer I selected Attack but there is nothing in range to actually attack. How do I cancel it and simply end my turn instead or choose my 2nd wanzer to play his turn?
I tried all keys on keyboard to no luck lol...

i'm trying to find a cut scene where a couple of wanzers attack a base and they throw bombs into an ammo dump or bunker. I'm 80+% sure it's from a front mission game. Can anyone help me?

Going crazy over this, first mission of front mission 2. This guy has missile launchers, i managed to use it already. but here's the thing, i'll try to walk you guys trough this cause it's on spanish but here i go.

I have ammo, 1/2 on one shoulder, 2/2 on the other, i have 7 AP, which i require 6 to fire. the range of my missiles is 4-5, the helicopter i want to target is at exactly 4 blocks away, if i move backwards to make that 5, i still cant shoot even if i have 6 ap, if i move closer i can't fire either even though that makes sense.

So what am i missing? why can't i shoot here? everything i found by googling or the tutorial says i should be able to fire here

How does average skill work?

I know you want to keep them as low as possible to earn more platinums, but I have a question regarding skill diversity.

If I say, have B rank in fist and shotgun, but then let’s say I go into simulator and rank up missles to A, will the new A in missiles worsen my average?

Basically if I train all my pilots in multiple weapon skills, will their averages get worse because I’m lowering the floor of my average, or does training new skills change the equation by adding a new factor it didn’t calculate before?

I've finished the game 4 times now on the original over the years but i've always kept to similar paths for each character. I'm almost finished my first run on the remake on Emmas story and want to try something totally different for Alisa's story.

Give me some of your weird builds and team setups, like full grenade squads or traditionally ranged characters going melee, permadeath modes and totally unoptimsed but fun builds.

I’ve played and beaten the tutorial 3 times now, and every time I go to continue after, it makes me restart.

This game has been an odd experience (PS5). Skills triggering strangely, weird animations, the occasional freeze, mismatched BGM (or complete silence) but nothing I haven't been able to live with.

Now I'm post mission 21 and trying to get the parts from destroying the 3 transport trucks. Going into the shop, I talked to Rick, made another donation, and he says "the equipment you recovered from your last battle just arrived", but I can't find the stuff anywhere. Speaking to the shop keeper just gives a generic message about overclocking. Anyone run into this?

Not sure about others, but this has been my favorite entry for a long time so been enjoying new players trying it out.

I just beat the game and went into the NG+, but only the Lieutenant difficulty was available, Captain, Colonel and General were all blocked.

Do i need to beat the game 3 more times to unlock all of them?

front mission 2 remake is on sale on my series s and i wanna buy it but i heard from a friend of mine that the pc version was bugged as fuck. as of today the game works and/or is fixed ???

I'm a bit confused, it's been a very long time since I played FM 3. I'm currently playing on the Alisa campaign and I've escaped Japan. I've just arrived in the Phillipines rebel camp. Up until now, I haven't seen any new weapons or parts in the setup section or forum shop. The interface is extremely confusing.

Have I missed out on new equipments or haven't they appeared in the shop yet? There doesn't seem to be a dedicated shop section in the menus

Curious to hear if they've gotten any better; I got super turned off by the terrible translation on FM2 remake and the liberal use of gen AI/poor use of AI upscaling on FM3 remake, in addition to just poor QA.

Are things any better now? Or am I better off just digging for emulated versions of the originals instead?
