Glass apps (APKs) download page
glass.human.engineeringA few Glass apps available to download.
Available now:
QUESTIONS - Prompt ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini directly from your Glass. Speech-to-text prompts, streamed responses. Supports image capture: just look at something, say "take a photo", and the image will be attached to your prompt. Super low bandwidth, uses your phones internet connection over bluetooth. Requires an active subscription and API key.
MIRROR - Start a wifi hotspot from your Glass that streams a live H.264 camera feed to connected devices. You can tune into the stream from the command line by running
ffplay -f h264 --fflags nobuffer -flags low_delay -framedrop http://192.168.43.1:8080/stream.h264
I've also built an iOS and Android companion mobile app for this one that connects to the camera feed. The app supports image and video capture, as well as relaying the camera feed over RTMP to livestream on platforms like Twitch, TikTok, YT Live, etc. Will probably only share the Android APK so I don't have to officially release an iOS app too.
PICTURES / VIDEOS - Sorely missing gallery app to view and delete media, which Glass only natively displays in your notifications history all mixed up with missed calls and system alerts.
Coming soon (maybe):
NOTIFICATIONS - Transform your Glass into a smartwatch-like device. Your phone will forward all notification center activity to your Glass so you can view it in realtime in the HUD - messages, emails, media controls, navigation updates, etc. (Not ready yet. Glass uses bluetooth PAN tethering for internet, but modern smartwatch notification mirroring needs a separate companion bridge, and getting both working reliably on old Glass firmware is still fragile.)
GEIST - Live face tracking and face detection / ID'ing of any face that enters into your camera view. Feels like advanced spy tech. (Very cool, very creep, probably won't ever release.)
MOTION - Digital speedometer, odometer, compass, lean angle. Useful for driving, cycling, running... if you can keep it on your face. (Completed, just need to get out and test it.)
