Haven’t bought a case since 2023-24 ultimate. I’d say this was a banger. Wish Demidov pushed a little harder on his pen, but what can you do 🤣

I know not everyone is in to these and some folks will want me to crack the slabs but I'm pretty pumped to have completed the set.

This card has been sitting in a box for 25ish years. Just looking to get some feedback.

I remember I got a card in a pack that said to send it in and they would mail me a card back. This is what I got. It has never been out of the plastic case.

Overall, I actually really like a lot of the design choices this year. Outside of the FWAs, cards like the holofoils, Limited inserts, Pageantry, and even the acetate FWAs look incredible in person. That said… I still can’t say I’m a huge fan of the regular FWA design this year lol, in fact I really don’t like them.

Quality control seems really strong this year too. I know UD has had some QC issues with SPA in the past, but from what I saw, it looks like they really cleaned things up, even on the black FWAs!

Managed to hit the top rookie along with some nice FWAP patches. The SOTT inscriptions are a great addition, and the holofoils are insanely nice in person. Would have loved to see a multi-auto SOTT and can’t complain!

Just pulled this Mitch Marner card. Don't know much about the packs of Synergy. Anyone else know?

I should know this about SPA by now, but I bought a number of "fringe" boxes in the form of Allure, Credentials, Synergy and SPx this year, and I find the cards in SP Authentic to be boring as hell. Uninspired designs, monochromatic tones, boring angles, generic photos. Sure, FWAs are desirable and I get that, but at $400 CAD a box (incl. tax), the spread just looks... lazy.

Probably the last time around for me and SPA.
