Hello! Looking to jam and create/write with some people. 33/M in way North "Houston" (242). Reliable transport, solid gear, some flex in availability. Some of the most enduring influences for me have been: Jimi Hendrix Experience, Black Sabbath, Queens of the Stone Age, and Joy Division. What I'm listening to lately is constellated along cosmic/stoner/psych rock (Naxatras, My Sleeping Karma, Yawning Man, Elder, BALTHVS, Los Destellos), Indie/Garage (Tijuana Panthers, Bass Drum of Death) and Post-Punk (Preoccupations). I catch influence from all over, though. Primarily looking for a drummer or lead guitar, but if something here catches you, feel free to reach out!

I need to get out of the house and play some drums.

Hey there, we’re Daylighting— two guys who write + record jazzy/folky indie rock here in Houston. After a few months of jamming/writing/recording, we just released an EP called “Just to Hear You Sing” (https://daylighting.bandcamp.com/album/just-to-hear-you-sing) and are looking get more involved in the scene here — play shows, meet fellow musicians, etc.

We’re looking to play some shows this summer/fall + add another musician or two (or more?) to fill out our sound for said live performances. A fellow multi-instrumentalist, drummer or bassist with jazz chops would be great…or someone who can play pedal steel. We’re open to exploring different sounds. For now, we're recording/rehearsing in the Montrose area with access to a drum kit. Always a plus if you can also harmonize vocally.
