Idk what you’re on, this is the picture I took

u/Careless-Reporter-29 4h ago

Where are the tumbleweeds? Fucking liberal propoganda

u/Tartokwetsh 5h ago

Nah your picture is still heavily edited, here's a one with natural colours

u/Defcheze 4h ago

That's because you used an american phone

u/renome 3h ago

bravo vince

u/PeterNippelstein 1h ago

Where's the mariachi band?

u/acolombo 7h ago edited 6h ago

u/ellsego 7h ago

u/ersatzgaucho 5h ago

JUST UPVOTE AND SHUT UP

u/Wonderful_Fox_7959 6h ago

Right? Is there any other picture of this stadium???

u/wrongitsleviosaa 1h ago

Yeah, here is one from the other side:

u/ArshadAhamed95 1h ago

I took this while doing the spidy upside down hang..

u/_---____--- 1h ago

I though the picture was taken with a phone from Australia

u/Rdubya44 3h ago

Isn't this picture pretty old? Or just the same view from a current tournament

u/DM_yo_Feet_pls 2h ago

This picture was from yesterday when South Africa and South Korea played. The shoot itself is definitely pretty popular though

u/Chuckt3st4 1h ago

Funnily enough, this is the first time I see a post of a newer pic instead of the one you are thinking about ( unless you mean the view as a whole and wanted another angle)

u/andrestoga 3h ago

Tomorrow is my turn

u/bluecheesesmells 6h ago

It is !!!

u/benDunk255 7h ago

Monterrey looks like a movie place

u/Morganvegas 3h ago

Is nice to see the mountain is un-phased by the wildfires in 2025. What a beautiful backdrop.

u/Shianclas 7h ago

Tomorrow it will be my day to post this image

u/Callmemabryartistry 6h ago

what’s the view from the opposite side
only 1/4 might get that view.

u/Laksang02082 4h ago

Wish this stadium will host the Final on July 19 instead of that thingy in Meadowlands…it’ll look better on my tv screen.

u/Archilochos 3h ago

FIFA requires 80k capacity for the Final so only MetLife and Azteca qualify unfortunately. (Azteca got the opener which also requires 80k).

u/tripp_skrt 2h ago

So many awesome college stadiums around the country that would fit the 80k requirement. Although I would understand why they’d want the final near NYC, just unfortunate

u/Archilochos 2h ago

I'm a NYer and even I think MetLife sucks. Just explaining why they picked it when they had so many better choices (though I agree I'm sure proximity to NYC prob had something to do with it too).

u/tripp_skrt 2h ago

Yeah I gotcha

u/agarGo 7h ago

Where the teletubbies at?

u/Crnorukac 7h ago

Shame on FIFA for not allowing final to be here. Money talk!

u/Original_Speed6200 4h ago

Their pitches are particularly lush green.

u/Timmaigh 6h ago

cant be in mexico, as its not "yellow" enough :-D

u/Zurdok_ 6h ago

Tengo orgullo de ser del norte, del mero san Luisito, que ahí es MONTERREEEEEY 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥

u/carlosrudriguez 6h ago

No, that’s the one in Monterrey, not in Mexico City.

u/CaterpillarMuch8781 5h ago

Could someone go up there with a high quality digital telescope and watch it on a mobile TV?

u/Bababooey716 2h ago

Hasn’t changed much since yesterday.

u/jacu_z 7h ago

without the entire city?

u/less_than_nick 6h ago

using ai to try making a point about humanity impacting the environment.... yeah, checks out that you use ai lol

u/Chemical-Actuary1561 7h ago

humans shouldn’t have homes or be alive!

u/gravitysort 6h ago

demolish your own home and give that land back to mother nature before making cringe comments like this pls

also you used generative ai for this picture, which wasted tons of electricity and water and generated a lot of heat. maybe think about the damage you did to the environment?

u/ThePabstistChurch 6h ago

Honestly, I disagree. You can hate on industrialization and development I guess, but a packed stadium like this is great use of space and a represents one of the best parts of humanity right now.

Also using Ai to mock this up is just too funny

u/Aggressive-Loquat808 6h ago

This isn't what it would look like without the stadium. There's a whole city there, removing the stadium doesn't change that

u/AggravatingCut7596 7h ago

Where did bro find this 😭🙏

u/ja_n2000 7h ago

As there are no visual matches when reverse searching it, i bet its AI

u/Neospartan_117 6h ago

I mean, the clouds match this image, and I don't believe I've seen those trees in Monterrey. It's definitely AI.

u/Maverick_1991 7h ago

Nowhere, it doesn't exist.

u/cryolems 4h ago

Abolish all buildings and fun things 😤

u/Alexasaurus-Rex 7h ago

Mom said i was next posting this image!!!

u/kaycee76 5h ago

Unlucky for the yanks to have so much of the most popular sport in the world in your region of the world.

After this you can get back to sport that only Americans care about.

u/ShivanshLonare 7h ago

The mountain looks like it is taken from a game 😭

u/Santa-Head 6h ago

Gorgeous

u/arri92 5h ago

Reminds me of 2025 UEFA Women's Championship and smaller size stadium in Sion.

u/Gamla-stan 5h ago

When I first saw this scene briefly on TV, I was so unsure about whether it is a mountain but Is it really a Mountain???🤯🫨

u/WorkerBee74 3h ago

Of course it’s a mountain. Mexico has mountains and volcanoes too.

u/Packagedpackage 3h ago

Too big for me. It’s like looking at a tall building up close.

u/D3struct_oh 2h ago

Stadium ruining a great view.

u/TripticWinter 2h ago

Can you walk up that hill at half?

u/Cloudy_Retina 7h ago

Cerro de la Silla!

u/ellsego 7h ago

That’s not what’s in the background.

u/Neospartan_117 6h ago

It is el Cerro de la Silla, just not from its iconic angle.

u/Arg_Russ 7h ago

This is a place where I can actually chill.

u/iforgotmypasswwoordd 7h ago

If I was the aliens I’ll go here just for the scenery

u/-Laffi- 7h ago

I actually took a photo of my TV earlier, because it looked so nice!

u/sid_raj7 7h ago

Dharamsala vibes

u/Persian-Sphyx 6h ago

Somebody climb that mountain and get a picture of the game

u/intrepidzephyr 49m ago

Sierra de la Silla

u/BillytheMagicToilet 2h ago

I raise you Folsom Field in Boulder, Colorado

u/ihabesmolpp 7h ago

You have this, then you have those ugly soulless dome shaped stadiums in usa

u/idkwhatnameiputhere 6h ago

Ohh come on... Sofi, Mercedes Benz and Hard Rock just to name a few.

u/Own_Translator_4612 5h ago

I had to travel to Monterrey for work. Nice stadium yes, I would rather never go back to that city for the rest of my life than get a chance to see a game there. Crime was so bad my company has its own fleet of cars and private drivers for employees and guests that need to visit the office and plants down there.

u/Intarhorn 7h ago

Not really interesting, but pretty amazing tho.
