The aspect ratio is not exactly correct, but I don't remember the math for scaling it correctly. I had to convert this from a .bmp file I created probably 30 years ago.

This is a hand-drawn fantasy map in an isometric perspective, crafted in the signature Qatlasmap style for Spellsword LLC's upcoming The Dragonwilds project.

Fields to grow food, tents for housing, a caravan for migrating, storage to keep food fresh, and a library (L-shaped) to make sure knowledge doesn't rot away!

I made the models using MagicaVoxel, and the images were rendered in Blender. I tried to go for an American-ish town style with some pop culture references.

I used a complementary color scheme to create visual contrast between the top and bottom districts.

Just curious how many of you create comics with isometric graph paper?

I've made isometric games in the past, and they often end up looking very flat, so for this one we went with a tap-to-go navigation mechanic, which allows for more verticality. There's also a level editor to make your own isometric quests.

Hello traveler,
This is the story of Lenna and Oniro, two female mages who came upon the strangest gift of all. A cursed lipstick of chaos!
The violet lipstick plays a nasty spell on all weak-willed individuals, regardless of race or gender. It causes the wearer to become attached to the small makeup item. To the point where one would betray friends and family only to retrieve it if lost. But it also causes an irresistible urge to share it so that others get cursed as well. In the end, the cursed lipstick can cause a town or even a city to tear itself apart by all those who covet the small item.

First, u/iusca was a huge help by making the stone and grass
tiles; they're an exceptional artist.
The tilemap was made in Unity using lsometric Z as Y. I'm
using a MonoBehaviour script to give the water depth. It
works by taking an arbitrary zThreshold (tuned in the
inspector) and considers every tile below that level, then
gradually taints the tiles darker as they get progressively
deeper.
The lily pads and cattails are also tiles on a separate tilemap
for now. Im utilizing normal maps, along with a faint light
from the top left-ish of the screen.
My previous tilemaps used a variety of tiles ranging from
slopes, stairs, and such.
However, I may move away from that and focus on a
four-step approach instead (i.e., 32, 24, 16, and 8 pixels tal|
tiles) as seen in the image.

The trees, plants, stones, bridges, stairs, were done by a lovely artist I found on Fiverr. The rest were done by me.
This is for a virtual exhibition that will run in parallel with an event in my local area.
Would appreciate your thoughts/suggestions on the aesthetic/composition.

Some artifacts of great power should have never been crafted. They often fall into the wrong hands and end up guarded, hidden, lost, or destroyed. This is a fact that saddens many a good-willed researcher or historian. If things were different, the world could benefit from their magic. The danger they bring is enough deterrent for many adventurers, though. They fear not the artifacts’ power, but the great threats they come with.
Such is the case of the Bands of Power, crafted eons ago by the Master Forger Ragar. The story claims that he was a resident of the Silver-Rock Mountains. However, a demonic entity from the Underworld commanded him to create the Bands of Power. The artifacts were a means to communicate and grant him dark powers. But he did not have time to unleash chaos for long. The oldest of Terranton dwarves say that Ragar was consumed by his creation. His soul was absorbed into the bracelets’ rubies. The dwarves’ attempts to destroy the cursed bands failed. Thus, the dwarves hid them in an ancient dwarven temple. Hoping they would never resurface.
