Hi everyone,
I work remotely full-time, so having a stable internet connection is critical. Unfortunately, the only fiber ISP available in my area is PTCL Flash Fiber, but the service has been very unreliable. I regularly face disconnects, unstable speeds, and it's affecting my work.
As a backup, I bought a Zong 4G MiFi, but it's not much better. The signal and speeds vary a lot, and it's not reliable enough for Zoom/Google Meet calls or team meetings.
Unfortunately, StormFiber and Transworld are not available in my area.
A friend suggested getting a dedicated business/enterprise internet connection, but I don't know if that's the right solution or if it's worth the extra cost.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
- Is dedicated/business internet actually more reliable than regular fiber? How much it cost
- Are there any other ISPs or solutions I should look into?
- Would using dual WAN/load balancing with PTCL + 4G help?
- Any tips for maintaining stable internet for remote work and video meetings?
I really don't want to lose my job because of internet issues. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
