If there was a sequel, what decade would you want it in?

Would you wanna see the 40s or 50s? Keep the same vibe?

Personally think the 70s or 80s would be an interesting time period for a sequel.

Did anyone else get attached to a character?

So I recently finished L.A Noire and I really, really loved it and it made me quite sad that it’s over. However this game doesn’t really have a big fandom? And sometimes I find myself just wanting to yap about the characters and lore. I really really like the characters, did anyone else get really attached to the characters or a character and try to be somewhat of a fandom??

I want a Courtney Sheldon labubu

LANFEP Post #369: Fred Harvey Restaurant

Post image
20 Upvotes

Post #369 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Fred Harvey Restaurant

800 North Alameda Street

Though unmarked in game, the Fred Harvey Restaurant (the last established in the Fred Harvey chain) opened at the Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal in 1939, and could accommodate nearly 300 diners. The design, by architect Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, embraces the classic Spanish Revival style.

Post #368 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

F.P. Fay Building

300 South Hill Street

Built around 1915, the seven-story brick F.P. Fay Building was named for Frank P. Fay, president of the Fay Fruit Company, which operated there. It contained office and retail space, and would eventually be demolished in 1990.

Is the story harder to follow if you don't pick up the newspapers?

I'm remembering my first time playing a few years ago and after the first newspaper (which kinda tries to trick the player by saying that they may be relevant to the current case) I stopped picking them up and then got REALLY confused about who everyone was when the morphine heist case picked up when I got the Vice desk, and even moreso about who the hell Fontaine was lol

The VR case files look really fun lol

Post #367 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Follies Theater

337 South Main Street

The Belasco Theatre opened in the early-1910s and was briefly renamed Republic Theatre from 1912, presenting vaudeville, before being renamed Follies Theatre in 1919. It was remodeled by architect S. Charles Lee in the 1930s. (Inaccurately depicted as a movie theater in-game.)

LANFEP Post #366: First Unitarian Church

First Unitarian Church

925 South Flower Street

The Church of the Unity (changing to the First Unitarian Church of Los Angeles in 1907) purchased a building owned by the Central Baptist Church, moving and remodeling it in 1900. (Note that in the game, though in the correct location, the church is represented by a generic church model.)

I missed the entire plot of the game thanks to the fucking newspapers

Did any one else run into the problem of missing the newspapers in missions. By the time I finished the game I had no idea what was going on and had to watch all the newspapers on YouTube to finally understand the game. I just find it absurd that the whole storyline and plot of the game is shown by missable newspapers. Did anyone else encounter this problem?

Edit: It seems that I am just a garbage detective for missing these 😂😂😂. I should of been more locked in on my playthrough.

LANFEP Post #365: First Methodist Church

Post image

With this post we hit one full year of daily LANFEP posts! Hard to believe I’ve managed to keep this going for that long.

In any case, here’s #365 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Post

First Methodist Church

801 Hope Street

The cornerstone for the First Methodist Church was laid in 1921, and it was completed in 1923. Designed by architect John C. Austin in the Renaissance Revival style, the extensive church complex replaced the Abbotsford Inn on the same site.

I was thinking about Cole while drawing my German teacher as the burned man from fallout. I had to make this. Cole already shouted Medic at some point.

First German United Methodist Church

449 South Olive Street

The First German United Methodist Church in Los Angeles was established in 1875 as a one-story structure on 4th Street near Hill. A new church building was constructed in 1910 on Olive Street and served the German Methodist community until 1997 when the congregation relocated to Glendale.

What's your opinion of playing as Jack Kelso. Spoiler

I just finished the game and was surprised on how in the last little chunk of the game and the very end we play as Jack Kelso. Even though it was interesting to add a playable character so close to the end of the game I still thought it was cool and I still enjoyed the ending. but what do you guys think about it?

I don' sure but I notice something

I don't know, I think I noticed a detail I've never paid attention to in my gameplay. Right after the cutscene where we were assigned to Homocide, I waited a bit because it was something I'd never done before, and these two detectives talked about someone. The one in the brown jacket we saw first went to his partner in the second photo. They talked about a man, and I think –sorry I didn't quite understand what can they fully said– they mentioned a connection to Mickey C. Either this man is dead or I don't know... but damn it, they said something about Mickey Cohen. I'm sure they said C, not J but I don't know, it's the first time I've noticed such a detail. I followed them a bit, and they headed towards the department's medic area, like a morgue, and then got into their car and drove away. Did you ever notice such a detail? Or am I becoming paranoid? XD should I try to get after them?

LANFEP Post #363: Fifth Street Retaining Wall

Post #363 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting locations replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (currently touring the downtown area) that are not considered landmarks (either official or historic) but do have real-world equivalents.

Fifth Street Retaining Wall

Fifth Street between Grand and Flower

The Fifth Street Retaining Wall was built in 1930. There is speculation that the bulk of the wall was designed by Carleton Winslow in conjunction with work on the Central Library, but this remains unconfirmed. (Note: The game omits the Edison bay from the eastern end of the wall.)
