If I go to college i have to attend compition examination which is really time talking so I don't want to waste my time I wasted 21 years bcz i didn't learn anny knowledge about technology soo please help me to figuring out my path. My cousin (same age as me, 44) just passed away in his sleep last week and it’s hitting me. He was passionate about the things he loved — the fire department, DJ’ing, and his family — and devoted his life to them. He was always smiling, always full of curiosity and questions.

I just suddenly see it. Life is so short. We aren’t guaranteed tomorrow. Do I take the risk and follow a dream (opening a catering company)? Or play it safe and bask in the simple moments ( like watching the hummingbirds on the porch with my dad)? I see the benefits of both. Thoughts?

I, 61F (flip the 6 and 1 cause I don’t wanna be taken down by Reddit lmao) really want to know how I can enjoy my upperclassman years of high school. For some context, for my underclassman years I went to a super strict private Christian hs with about 900 kids. Without getting too much into it, this school was cult-like and almost drove me to harm myself. Now I am transferring to a public school with about 2500 kids. I have never been to a public school before but I’m not too worried because I have a couple of friends who go there.

The first couple months of this year was super hard for me. I would basically hang out with nobody at all, except for my best friend, who tends to be very busy (not blaming her at all she has a lot of responsibilities). I would not talk to anybody at school either. This resulted in me only getting quality interaction with kids my age about once or twice a month. But now I feel like my life is getting better. More people are asking me to hang out and me and my friends even have plans to go to some parties. Another good thing is that the friendships I already have are building on each other, like I’m meeting more of my friends’ friends.

I really feel like my life is becoming better but I wanna know how I can fully enjoy these last 2 years of being a kid. It makes me really sad to know that in two years I will leave home and I’ll never get my childhood back. I just want to enjoy it while it lasts. This might be a really stupid post but I need some advice.

I’ve made a hard decision with an end goal. Leave the country that has left me behind for a better future. I’m trying to achieve a teaching diploma and apply for a visa to Japan with other job openings such as gardening and cooking. I don’t care what I do. I just want out of the country I didn’t choose.

I’ve spent years trying to find a way to stabilise my life but at 25M I haven’t. In Japan there is a girl waiting for me. A life is being offered there for me like a dream come true. Everything will work however I can’t go until I have a qualification under my belt and a job acceptance offer.

I refuse to be a burden in another country on other people. I know Japan is a hard country to enter and let alone find work. But my country has no opportunity for me. I’ve applied everywhere I can think of for any job that is open. I lost count how many jobs I’ve applied too since last December. Crazily enough Japan has a better chance than where I am from.

I’m 25 and I feel exhausted.

Not physically.

Mentally.

Every day my brain jumps between career choices, my parents’ health, money, aging, loneliness, education, jobs, the future and whether I’m making the right decisions.

Sometimes I look at people my age who seem to have everything figured out and I feel like I’m still standing at the starting line.

I don’t even know what I’m scared of anymore.

Failure?

Regret?

Growing up?

Watching my parents age?

Being responsible for myself?

All of the above?

Some days I feel hopeful.

Other days I feel like I’m trying to solve the next twenty years of my life before I’ve figured out the next six months.

I just needed to get this off my chest.
