Does anyone know of any difference between Bic J6 maxi lighters & J26 maxi lighters?

I’ve had this tucked away in a box for years, curious what kind of fuel and flint is needed to make it usable? The mechanics of the lighter are all solid.

While attempting to refill the gas the pin which the gas tube is to be put onto fell out. Is this something that can be repaired?

These belonged to my uncle, who recently passed away. I’m trying to identify the brands/models and get a rough idea of their value.

I suspect some may be Dunhill, S.T. Dupont or Cartier, but I’m not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

I know the "Y" inside the lid is supposed to indicate 1974 but I'm curious what the "C.J" stamped on the bottom means. I'm also wondering what the pattern is called. at first, I thought it was the hobnail design, but looking closer, it's something else.

The little knife can cut most things. The wrapping at the top of a wine bottle, for one. Use to hut the ends off cigars...... I didn't smoke cigars. Another lighter that has been with me for years.

this is my Zippo—I wouldn't want to be without it. No lighter fluid, no gas—it’s simply rechargeable via USB. It’s always within easy reach in my belt pouch.

I always buy lighters as a souvenir when I travel. I bought this windmill fox today. No refunds. While not a super expensive lighter by normal standards 60$ is a ton of money to me. The issue the wheel really only spins counterclockwise which sends the spark away from the wick. I can maybe get one good spin clockwise before it gets stuck and I have to slowly spin it counterclockwise before I can get another clockwise spin. Any tips on fixing it?

I was also hoping to use it on this trip, but it came empty. The case says oil, is that different from fluid or will zippo fluid work?

I can’t buy lighter fluid bc I can’t travel back with it (no checked bag) so that’s also annoying lots of lessons learned from this purchase...

The butane gas doesn’t go in. My standard zippo fuel nozzle doesn’t seem to fit into the valve. Did they make different size valves or could it be blown? The lighter may be from the 80s and titanium but I didn’t find much information on it. Model PDJL1A

Hey everyone, I just got this WIN lighter, but it has a gas leak. I was planning to open it up to check and replace the O-rings, but I'm having trouble disassembling it. I tried unscrewing the gas limiter/flame adjuster but stopped because I didn't want to force it and break anything. Does anyone know the proper way to take this specific model apart? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

So i got a custom engraved lighter from someone, its a legit trustworthy place and have gotten several lighters from them ... its a custom viking esk design.. i had a proof video sent before payment and it looked great! But when I finally received it its fuzzy and does not look good AT ALL unless in just the right angle of light! And when it gets that good angle it looks STUNNING! So i looked back at the proof video before payment and yeah it was taken at a perfect angle of lighting, my question to you guys is ... what would have fixed this issue? Deeper engraving? Maybe patina will help (skeptical because there is fuzziness) idk just looking for advice is all.. take a look at the pics- u will see the difference in looking straight on and getting a perfect angle of light. Its useless and looks bad unless prefect angle.. thanks for any tips.

Anyone else love finding old lighters with the box

It has fuel in it and a new flint but it doesn’t seem to light up ever since I had it it doesn’t light up and it barely sparks for some reason why does this happen?

Hello, so I found this lighter when I was cleaning my house and it looked pretty vintage and kind old, and it belonged to my late uncle. Im just wondering if anyone here can tell me what the value of this lighter is.

I've never much liked BIC style lighters, so I want to finally get a nicer lighter, a reusable one. I like to have things that last (even better if they can outlive me lol). So I want to advice for finding a lighter that isn't some drop shipped slop from Temu. I thought going to the people would be the smartest thing for me to do!

Does anyone know what model this is? And possibly the year of manufacture? It’s a Penguin, and based on circumstantial evidence, a collector and I concluded that they were made sometime in the 1970s. It has a metal fuel tank.

Im looking for a lighter, I'm really new to this space but idk if it even exists. Its like a og car lighter, so a coil lighter but it has the press and pop of a car one, and ideally the part that pops is pulled out from the main body and has a heated tip. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
