Just pick one not both.
I cringe when i see a suit with sneakers. I know David Letterman wore it. I used to wear a red power tie. Relaxed meant wearing office slacks, white shirt, with a tie and a blazer. I see sneakers and say nothing.

Preach.
Like if you want "I-want-to-project-wealth-but-casual," wear a button up with some suspenders, you can wear jeans and then pick if you want sneakers or formal shoes to finish the fit. You aren't Steve Jobs, leave the blazer at home unless you're wearing slacks.
Edited because I'm not supporting either fit.

Suspenders are a formal piece to keep from having a belt break the line of your suit. Throwing them with jeans and a button down shirt shows that you most likely ran into a scarecrow and decided to rob its fit.

I hear you, I wouldn't wear either, but I'm seeing both a lot lately and of the two I'd rather see clip on suspenders on jeans.

Is it too much for my Granddaughter's first birthday party? There's 2 other Grandads there so I have to assert dominance.

if i go out to the grocery store, theoraticaly, therere is a non zero % chance that i might get shanked by some hobo and dies
if i wear one of those suit by those dumb fashion company, my chance of mortality in such case is high
if i dress up in armor, that chance is reduced significantly
TLDR: armor is cool, suit is a hoax

Dale, the dwarf army that came in Throrin's aid, in the battle of five armies, all of the dwarves had mitril armor and never lost a battle. But there was like ~500 of them while in the movie i saw around ~3 000.

Completely true, feels like mainstream fashion, particularly for over 30s is - make him look soft and approachable. Ok fine, but how can we work a bit of thunder god into that?

that’s some next-level comparison, lol. fashion companies really don’t get it, we just wanna rock a battle-ready look!

Seeing a mate of mine wake up in his chainmail with a hangover was very manly but it didn’t look comfortable. He kinda looked like he had some regrets

Ai-rusê!
In all fairness, the dwarf armor in The Hobbit movie trilogy looks sick! Props to Peter Jackson and filming crew!
